Are there any websites that show dress patterns or images of dress patterns that I can DL for free?

I am interested in the more "classic" or even historical styles, that I might be able to copy( I AM an artist--so I can work from a smaller pattern image)

I am looking, more specifically for a sleeveless gown with an "empire style" waist. I plan to sew it myself.---As I Do make historical flags and even sew tents with 20 foot seams by hand, A simple thing like a gown should be no problem---but I need to find a pattern showing the shapes of the cut out peices first.

Any help in this area would be appreaciated.

Look in my website --- I think my work would satify your needs --all handsewn too - I bought a program from CADTERNS of Canada, that is very accurate in converting our padded forms into accurate slopers. Jackie

I think It was simplicity that published a book on basic pattern shapes I have looked but I don't seem to still have it and it was a long time ago but a trip to a library might help
