Welcome Babs! I have not ventured into breastforms or other methods yet but a lot of girls here have. I have read where some used water balloons (sometimes doubled for fear of breaking) or stocking toes with rice to simulate the real thing. Most CD's will progress to purchasing silicone breast forms online if they are crossdressing seriously. I have that in my plans but haven't done it yet.

I must go to my favourite store in Hollywood and get a couple of new forms.
Mine seem to last about 2 years before they break down. (Then you tow them away.)
I have used water balloons, rice, birdseed, socks, handkerchiefs, andI started very young with a box of kleenex tissues.
Toilet paper isn't much good either.
When you can afford it, spend the money on silicone, I don't think you will regret it.

This thread will probably get moved, but you need to take a look at some of the online videos about breast forms. Janet's Playground, a CD oriented store in suburban Detroit has some good ones.

Depending on your size, you may have a difficult time finding a breast form which will give you a B size cup. You probably should be looking at breast enhancers, which tend to be more concave on the bottom, and fit against male pectoral muscles or manboobs better (if you have same).

Silicon is the most realistic medium for forms or enhancers.

I agree, silicone is the most realistic and best overall choice for forms. See my post on this topic:

Jeez, haven't you learned anything from the GGs? It's all about the underwear. I had one of my sorority sisters remarking on how my boobs defied gravity, I was like, "Girl, it's called push up bra. It takes everything you got and sends it to your chin." Before I grew my own boobs, I wore water bras. Now, these bras are a bit more advanced and have some kind of jelly in them to feel more natural. One of my friends is as flat-chested as a bean pole and we bought her one of these bras. It looks really good!! My SO bought breast forms on ebay and they are great! They are pretty jiggly in bras that have no underwire or support and they compliment her body very well.

I firmly believe that the proper underwear can change anyone's body completely. And, as I spent about 6 years of my life playing sports and having very little body fat, I learned quickly that I could either get a boob job or get the right underwear. The right underwear was more practical. So, I just bought those water bra. Once I got a little bit of cleavage (and you will as you age), I got a push-up bra. Now, I am quite ample at a C-cup, but never being happy I want to look like a D-cup. Insert the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy push-up bra. It's my best friend.

So, just go get the right underwear and breast forms! Or, go get a water bra!

I have a few water bras and I can agree with Shananigans about them being perfect! I believe mine are made by Maidenform (don't quote me!) and they're supposed to add two cub sizes. I went with my wife a few years ago for a bra fitting at Frederick's and the fitter was trying to embarrass me by talking me into getting a fitting. (Little did she know that I was secretly excited!) I have a teeny bit of breast tissue and it turns out I'm a 34A!

I've never used actual breast forms before but am looking into doing just that. I ran across some called real breasts. They are super exspensive but "look good" in the pics. Has anyone tried them yet and are they worth the price??

My salt water proof silicon forms were heavenly. My only regret is that I never actually went swimming in them. They were carefully passed on in the post reveal "purge" to a lucky sister at the Grand Rapids, MI monthly TG support group.

"Ho, Ho, Ho… high there Babs,
come on up here and sit on ole' Santa's lap..."

Whoa there babs, is that a ring pop in your pocket, or are you just excited to see ole' Santa?...

"Well, according to your parents reports, you have been a very good little girl this year so far. You only have 37 more days to go until I start delivering presents. So keep up the good work. :)

Now if you happen to set out some freshly baked cookies for me this year, instead of that nasty fruitcake you left for me last year, you just might find those jiggly boobies under your tree on Christmas morning. Maybe Santa will even bring you a few surprises, too.

In the meantime, listen to your little friend Shananigan's advice, she is very wise. I wish I had a few great helpers like her around my, er…I mean...the North Pole this year !!…:daydreaming:

Now, run along, so all of the other kids in line can cough, cough…sit on Santa’s lap…:o

Hoe, Hoe, Hoe…

see you soon...:drink:

Just a edit for a serious note here....

"Silicone" is the preferred choice, because of the closeness in replicating the movement and density, etc of actual human breasts. You pay a premium for quality...just like everything else.
My point is that Silicone is not Silicone...there is are different types of silicone and it does make a difference in the "bounce" you are referring to. Many manufacturers using silicone use a Platinum Cure Silicone filler inside of a urethane rubber outer casing material. So there is always going to be a slight difference in the forms by manufacturer, depending upon their mix. Some use other silicone blends and due to the material costs...may sacrifice realism for lower product production&material expense.

The top quality forms use what is referred to in the rubber industry as "Silicone GEL". The end cured product is a sticky, gooey filler inside a urethane type of outer casing. The thickness of the outer casing determines whether it is intended to be sold as an "attachable" form or not. Not every form is produced to be attachable! The thinner the outer casing, the more "realistic" you find the "bounce" you describe. But those forms are not designed to be "attachable".

You make a small sacrifice in "bounce" or "softness" to touch when you opt for attachable products...due to the additional strength required to maintain the integrity of the casing during attachment/removal (tears, etc).

So if you want to get real specific about the bounce factor...the best option is to physically inspect the forms prior to purchase...

Not sure if this is TMI for you...but thought I would toss it out there anyway...

Happy bouncing!

Hey, Babs, As a B cup there might not be a lot of bounce. But, as my wife says dresses fit better and you can wear more clothes with smaller breats. Remember that a 34B is equivent to a 32C in volume. Bras have sister sizes as the band size increases the cup size goes down. I've never had forms, don't need them. I do wear enhancers like many women do on occasion when I definitly want more clevage for a certain outfit.

Well I went to Hollywood and Vine and there are a number of costume? shops on the south side. For $39.00 a nice pair of silicon boobs with darkened nipples looked great under a see through bra. I bought 2 pair of those. They should last a few years. When you go to the UK, they are the specialists in gel filled and water bras. I have a couple of pairs that have lasted 5 years and still going strong. They are popular over there and a good range. They go from 32A to 36C. 32A seems to have more filling and if you are small the effect can be startling. What I like is I can wear a 36A without any other assistance and it feels and looks great. Yes 36A...
The trick with the inserts is that there is plenty of space for the liquid to move around. Some inserts are stretched to the limit and appear hard. They are like little balls and do not fit flat on your chest. When choosing an insert choose one that is squishy, soft and pliable to the touch.

Babs I've used water baloons in the past and worked well, then tried something like punch a ballon and pumped it up with gelitan. Nice weight and feels more natural. have to replace every so often, gelitan gets stale.

There are many options for having a nice size and shape. I'll just go through some if the things I've tried, in historical order.

Socks - if you just want to dress at home, it's a quick and cheap way to fill a bra, but not terribly satisfying.
Stockings filled with cotton - Feels nice, but not terribly consistent, and often don't stay in the bra very well.
Water Balloons - A more natural look and feel. I found that condoms filled with warm water or oil was more natural looking, and you get a bit of bounce. You still need a bra though.
Foam Inserts - these are often used in padded bras. Not horrilble, but not very natural looking.
Foam Breast Forms - I got my first pair at Fredricks, and found that several lingerie stores had them. They are nice with thinner bras and shirts because you get a nipple, and if they are squeezed, you can feel the squeeze in your own nipples.

Latex or Silicone bras - these are small breast-forms that have adhesive and are clipped together. If you have any breast at all, you can get some cleavage. On the other hand, if you are trying to enhance a really flat chest, it doesn't work very well. If you have a smaller chest, you can fill a padded bra.

Breast Forms - latex or silicone - available in any size from B to DD. I have a large chest, so I do well with D cups. You're a bit smaller, so you might want to go with a C. The pair-shaped ones give you a more natural line, but don't wedge in push-up bras very well. Triangles work with push-ups, giving you cleavage, but looks a bit "front loaded".

Herbal Hormones & Cremes. - It's possible to get some result, but it can be frustratingly slow, and taking enough to actually produce a result, even in one or two years, can have some nasty side effects such as blood clots that can kill you, cottage cheese thighs, and thunder-thighs. Even then, the result is disappointing.

Doctor supervised estrogen - if you want REAL breasts in a relatively short period, this is really the only practical way to go. The doctor can monitor your health, blood pressure, and hormone levels as well as giving you testosterone blockers and progesterone, the cocktail can produce remarkable results in less than a year. The only problem is that most doctors require that you be able to live and present as a woman for at least one year. Some require that you be 24/7 for at least 1 full year.

The only problem with having to present, is that this means you need to remove your facial hair (laser, electrolysis, or plucking), and work as a woman as well as before and after work.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of your breast filling a bra for the first time, even if it's padded.

Thanks LingerieLiz, I didn't know my bras have sisters!! That is so cool! I think Karren may have a secret to making your own bigger?? There is the brava system that are sold on Ebay that are proven to work if you put in the time. When I underdress i have an A cup and the feel of the bro on my skin is quite different than the way the bra feels with 38C forms. With forms i love the space they take up and the weight and bounce not to mention the drape of my clothes. The link below is to one such system. i have know first hand experience but it seems as though sience supports their claims (Pun intended).

I started playing guitar in my early teens. I read an interview with my hero, Jimmy Page. He said, buy the best guitar you can afford.

Silicone-based forms... they vary in quality, but there is no substitute.

Best thing I ever purchased is my silicon breast forms. Sometimes I use tape and go braless. Great little bounce going on. They make me feel very sexy and natural. Breast are so important one should go with the best they can afford.

Soooo you want breasts do you????? Well my unsolicited advice is go to e-Bay, they have "almost" all sizes and shapes and the cost is quite reasonable. I got mine(full C cup) and can't be happier unless I get a real boob job. My forms jiggle and they really feel like the real thing. Beware of the "PINK FOG", WHEN IT HITS YOU THERE WILL BE NO STOPPING!!!!!!

Breasts are great.
I would only go with attachable forms. It is amazing having them glues on and pulling on your body like real breasts.

Be careful. The Pink Fog may take over. I love dressing and now tightlace. I also sometimes wear my smaller forms under my other clothes

If you are only looking for a B cup you should be able to get a cheap pair of "chicken cutlets", at just about any of the better stores that sell womans clothes. I bought a pair at Carsons for 50.00 but only use them when I really want to get some extra size going, I am a real size 38C and I'm with Karen, the real ones are the best.

Mine grew to near a C back when I transitioned in 79-80. I have to say that after a while...or more correctly, after a SHORT while, you get REALLY tired of "bouncing and jiggling" and go for "strapped down and going no-where" to minimize the pain unless your in show-off mode!!

I've never used actual breast forms before but am looking into doing just that. I ran across some called real breasts. They are super exspensive but "look good" in the pics. Has anyone tried them yet and are they worth the price??

Hei Dixie:
I have tried about 10 pairs of silicone breast forms over the years, almost every kind and type, including the 'Real Breast' ones you discuss. These are very expensive!! I paid about $800 for a pair!!

They are the most realistic feeling of any I have tried, but they do not look real on the chest without extensive work!! The texture is amazingly lifelike, and if you plan to not show cleavage, under a high neck blouse or such, and want a bra-less 'headlights on' look, they are very excellent in looking like the real thing, but the form is easily twice the contact area on the chest, and VERY prone to tearing when gluing on and removing.

They are designed with a very thin edge, and intended to be worn out in the open, but only after extensive special effects makeup is applied to conceal the edges. I spent about an hour one afternoon to get them on, and then another couple hours using liquid latex in several layers, combined with foundation and powder to conceal the edges.

Once on, they do look amazing, and in a bikini you could pass as having the real thing, but only for a few hours at best. The makeup sweats off, the forms trap sweat under them, the latex on the edges peels, and you start to look more like a zombie rotting than a pretty gal with nice breasts!!

They are nice if you want something realist feeling for the texture and 'bounce', and under a blouse are very nice looking, although the nipples are simply over the top for size and projection, it looks like you are very, very cold!! I personally prefer to not project that much myself, so end up with a couple layers, or nip covers, unless clubbing or out to a costume party.

I much prefer to have some cleavage, and using a standard pair of forms and a pushup bra I can get this, where with the 'Real Breasts' you can't possibly create cleavage as the forms come into the cleavage zone with the larger area, and simply can't be made to look OK and natural since the material is exposed and will wrinkle.

I think regular silicone breast forms, for me asymmetrical attachable triangle types, work the best for all situations, and are a FAR better investment.

That said, if you really wanted to go topless at a nude beach, and had the time to do the proper prep work, the 'Real Breasts' will allow you to look like you have grown your own, albeit you will look a bit porn-star like with them, and any close inspection will give them away.

Also note you MUST order the color sample kit to start. This is a small kit of about 6 or 8 tiny thumb-sized gel color samples of various skin tones. You put them on your chest, and select the closest to you skin tone. $50 for the kit, but returnable and refundable towards your purchase.

This is very important to get them to look anywhere close to natural once attached!! If you tan, things will not work well, so pick them for the tan level you want to wear them at, or you will be in for a very extensive make-up session for the chest!!

Bottom line, these are just not worth it. That said, I have a slightly used pair I am willing to sell for half of new!! :D

Best wishes!
Kimberly
