I’m still new to this site and I don’t dabble as much as I would like to. I think I am starting to notice my cross dressing is a little more than I thought it was. The desire to look feminine is so strong and consumes my every thought throughout my day. This is very hard and very personal for me to request but I want to know more about testosterone blockers. How do you get them? Do I need a shrink or a doctor? What do they do exactly? The internet only tells me so much. Any advice or wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

The first step to take would be to find a good gender therapist and find out where you truly are with these feelings.
The therapist will move you towards HRT if it is warranted. Try to refrain from self medicating because of the potential
dangers involved!

And the HRT itself must be monitored by an endocrinologist, as there are many different hormones and drugs to keep track of in order to get good results without dangerous side-effects.

Anti T without estrogen is in the long run is not good for your health. Google harry benjamin standards of care. find a local TG support group and they can likely direct you to a qualified therapist. if your healthy the Dr. doing the prescribing need not be an Endo, all my Endo does is take blood and and look at the levels from the test results. Your local support group should be able to direct you to a therapist who will usually refer you to a doc.

Hi Cracks - the "consumes my every thought throughout my day" comment sure resonates. I think from your posts and profile you are out and have a SO so you have someone to talk to, but a therapist is still not bad advice. SO's have their own interests and can compromise objectivity. And the main reason for taking such care with your feelings is hormones lead down a one-way street. For MTF's its "sterility" (no kids) and breasts - such that if you aren't out full time, you won't likely be swimming in public or wearing tight t shirts, or your nieces and nephews will blurt out things like "you have boobies like my mommy!" As for details on T blockers, all the info is on the web. Keep searching. Nowadays a lot of pharmacy sites, legal, Canadian and no-prescription offshore ones, have sophisticated web pages with links to lots of information (though after a few sites you may wonder if the world runs on viagra).

Yes it's true that there is a lot of information out there on the net, but not all of it is good. Just because an on-line pharmacy site says that they will sell you something doesn't mean that it is the right thing for you. The advice given by others in this thread to consult a qualified Gender therapist and to only use hormone related medicines under medical supervision is good advice.
It is unclear what the OP wishes to achieve by merely blocking testosterone, but what seems relatively clear is that doing this is likely to cause an unhealthy imbalance in the body's endocrine system. Taking the time to set out clear aims and goals and taking medical advice is a good way to avoid unnecessary complications.
In the Body Issues forum, there is a link to a good article on the dangers of unsupervised prescribing (http://www.northernconcord.org.uk/Drugs.htm) of cross-sex hormones
