Ok, so I posted a no makeup photo to the photo gallery. One thing that has helped me blend really well is wearing glasses. For some reason people will glance then go about their business. Even though I'm 6'2".

Ok so here is an interesting thing that happened to me a few times. I was out at the supermarket dressed and I paid in the auto checkout, the attendant watching the registers says "Have a nice day" as he looks at me with a bit of a polite but confused look. As I'm walking out he checks out my legs. I over hear him say to a co worker "I think thats a girl".

Another situation was at a Walmart, I'm walking by two older ladies and one glances up at me with a suspicious look. She starts whispering to another woman she is with. I over hear the other woman say "I think thats just a really tall girl" and seems to just shrug and carry on with her business.

Now here is an intersting question. Is getting evaluated or people thinking to decide if you are a tranny or not mean getting read? Anyways these were fun outings none the less!!!

I know I've been read several times but it wasn't because of my height (I'm 5'8"). I think some people are more curious than others and will scrutinize another person if that person seems a little out of the ordinary. Most of the time I can pass with little or no notice, but the few times I've been read I just flashed a big smile, waved, and went on about my business.

I found it is fun to guess what they are thinking. Especially when you don't really care what they are thinking.

yeah, it sounds like you were "read". The world didnt end though did it?
I still havent found a way to not give a damn what people think when I go out although its painfully obvious that I'm not a GG

People tend to notice tall girls, and I'll bet that is the main reason. I'm probably read a lot, and I figure they are thinking what others say when I tell them I'm a guy -- "You really look quite nice." And if they don't -- why should I care? Anyways -- may the fun continue!

Yes. Yes it does. Don't feel bad. Most of us can't pass during a blackout in a coal mine while the earth is undergoing an eclipse. Feet, hands, gait, brow bar on the forehead, adam's apple, the easy to spot list just goes on and on.

As long as they keep saying I think it's a girl, then you only think youv'e been read.

I always counted the ones that were unsure as a win for me! It meant I was doing better at blending in and getting closer to the best I can be! Now though my thoughts are as long as I went and enjoyed presenting as I wish without anyone confronting me in an confrontational way then my day was a huge success! I won! I was able to enjoy the day being who I feel I am!

Well here is the dilemma with this. As I'm venturing more and more out of the closet I find this scenario to be a interesting sweet spot for a CD. If they are looking at me trying to figure out what I am that is a good thing since they may see me as a feminien female. So my definition of Read has expanded, it means they look and question what I am (gender etc.) Its nice to get some attention and get people guessing. Any other thoughts?

I think I had posted it in here before ...About the time my Daughter got really upset because someone asked weather she was trans or not...I will tell yall like i tol her....

Take as a COMPLIMENT ! because transwomen put alot of effort into looking good so 9 times out of 10 you get "clocked" is because you are looking good and thats what gets you noticed..
