So I have thought about it long and hard and I made first step in this Journey. I booked an appointment with a Therapist and will hopefully begin the transition by the end of the 2012.
Wish me luck and really nervous about this !!!
Love to hear yet another gal embracing the truth and be done with pretend! I wont say it will be a breeze but I will say that you will see life in its new colors, you will breath a fresh new air of wonder and finally feel the truth fulfill your every heart beat.
I do wish you luck but more so I wish you, YOU!!!!!!!
LOVE babe, Inna

How could we not wish you the very best of luck? Although you have already started to make your own luck by taking this all-important first step.
How soon is the appointment? WIll you be letting us know how it goes? Please don't let anyone put any pressure on you about how you dress for the first appointment - whether you decide to go in drab or en femme is your decision alone to make and should depend upon how you feel at the time.
Although it is very normal to be nervous, I hope that when you get there you will see that the nerves were for nothing :bighug:

Good luck and take good care of yourself.
There are lots of people that are transsexual, and successfully transition. I was very surprised at the number of wonderful people in the same boat.

**Ding, Ding** I know that feeling you get when your bell finally goes off.
its both scary and also very exciting. There is a lot to look forward to as
your mind and body start going through the changes. And the less you try
and challenge these aspects of transition, then the smoother your journey
will be. I wish you luck and want to congratulate you for taking this first step.
I only wish that others who are struggling here could be as courageous as you.
:hugs:

Yay! I found it (starting therapy) wonderful and terrifying at the same time yet totally the best thing I've ever done (yet :) ). Keep us up to date!
I also found the Three Bridges group drop in sessions really great too. There's a link somewhere on the VCH trans web pages.
