I was reading through some posts, and see some things that I see WAY too much....and go unaddressed. Some things, just....anger me because it is just getting old. I won't mention any names, but I will post if cd/gg/ts so we can associate. Some have been in private messages.
"You won't ever actually be a woman. It's harder than you think. It's a lot more than panties and skirts." -GG
::To this I say...umm ok. You think it's hard being a woman. Understand. Try being both man and woman...and living your life the same as it was before.
"We should look at (GG's name) as a superior being. They are, after all, what we are striving to achieve. We should learn from them, the way they are." CD Member
::Somewhat agree. Somewhat disagree. I don't view any woman or man as a superior being. To me, there is only one superior being, and He is up in the heavens. I agree some things can be learned from them. Not just one though. You get three GGs next to each other, they won't look the same, walk the same, or even like the same thing. I think what most people are missing is that you can not change who you are. You shouldn't act like ONE person because they are a GG. I personally watch how some women walk, dress, and talk. I walk past hundreds a day, and only about five get paid attention to because I WANT to pick up fashion tips, manerisms, and speech. I add that to who I am, but even as Jessica, there are things that I can not change. Accept yourself. Never put YOURSELF down to look UP at someone. I don't care who they are.
"Stop playing dress up. You're a man....,"-GG
::No. LOL. :heehee:
"Some people are born with this desire to do what we do. We can not change it, and some dressers will dress 24/7, others once in a while like you." TS Member
::Ok. First....let me point out this came from a TS member...and that's how they feel. TS. Sure, if you dress 24/7, there has to be a state of mind that is TS. You may not actually BE TS, but you are not a CD. A CD can just stop at any time. There is no uncontrollable impulse that makes them show up to work in femme, or just change in the nearest phone booth like superman. It doesn't work like that. If you have those feelings ALL day, EVERY day, then there is a TS part of you that you have not explored yet. Start thinking it is possible. There's many categories of CDs, but none are 24/7. This is a more TS thought.
"You don't understand where this person is coming from. Inconsiderate, and at no time did you address this person's feelings. They came to learn." -CD member
::If I was inconsiderate, I would not have taken the time to respond to someone. Just because it is the answer that nobody likes, doesn't make it wrong. It's like getting an F in school. It hurts, but it happens. You come to learn, I won't beat around the bush. I won't tell you what YOU want to hear. I will tell you the truth. If you can't grasp or agree with it, then it is what it is. If you can't accept what you hear, then why are you here?
AND my best for last. The one MILLION dollar question.
"Why do you do what you do? Doesn't your wife, kids, and career keep you happy. You talk alot about them. With that you should be happy enough." -Multiple people.
::Why do you think I talk alot about them? They do make me happy. I love my wife and my son. I just found out we are expecting again! YAYYY! So, with that said, let me address the beginning of that. Why do I dress? I dress because it feels good. It is an escape from my life, where I have to see some of the worst things this world has to offer....on a daily basis. A majority of the people I work with smoke/dip/drink religiously to get rid of the stress 14 hours of this work can do to you in a day. I drink occassionally, but don't smoke. I go to the doc, and he asks "What kind of work do you do?" I tell him, and the first thing he wants? Blood pressure reading. My last was 120/77. He told me "How do you stay like that? It's so common for people in that line of work to be high." I told him "I just don't care what people think. I'm honest, and learned if they can't accept my help, just move on." Would have been a lot more funny if I told him "I slap on some heels, a sleek dress, a wig, and highlight my eyes with hot pink eye shadow." It's a way to escape. We all need to. Some turn to drugs. Some to alcohol. Some to suicide. Of all things this world does to chip away at my soul, this is a way to patch some of those dents. It makes me whole again, as does time with my wife and son. Why do I dress. I dress because Jessica is part of me. She always will be. Nobody will ever make her go away. Not even me. I love it, and I won't trade her for anything. She's my alter ego, my wife's best friend, and as my bro put it "his other sister." She is part of us all. Regardless of what some think, there are some with the intelligence to understand this is a harmless behavior that has put the original person it affects through hell. If they have done the work to understand it themselves, then I can do the work to understand it too. I'm not struggling with it 24/7 like them, so why should I care that much?
These are just some points that continue to be brought up, and sent to me. I'm probably one of the most honest people you will ever meet. I am also first in line to help someone, as goes with my job. I'm not afraid to give someone an answer they don't like. I wanted to let you all know these questions to have insight on why I answer questions the way I do. I am more than happy to help each and every person on this site, but don't hate an answer just because it is the truth. Hope all is well with everyone, and good luck out there ladies! :love::love:
