View Full Version : Doctors Visit...MY POINT!
I don't call it underdressing. I JUST wear women's trouser socks,(very thin) and Niki HIGH CUT Pants from Sam's Club. They hold the ole boys up and Out of the way.
First thing the nurse said was strip Naked or to my under pants. So, there we are, shaved everything, women's pants and female socks.
The DOC looked at my skin, froze a place in my hairline and NO ONE SAID A WORD ABOUT MY PEIRCED EARS, MY SHAVED BODY OR MY CLOTHING. EXCEPT, YOUR SKIN IS OK!
WE CHATTED ABOUT ALASKA AND THE YURT AND HE WAS GONE.
MY POINT!
If you want to shave, shave, if you want nylon soks and under pants, buy and wear them. NO ONE ELSE WILL MIND!!!!
BE YOURSELF!

I don't think it's a matter of they "don't mind". These people are professionals and they don't make comments on things like that in your presence. You have no idea what said when you left the office.
It seems to me you were kinda wanting them to comment so you could say something. If you were that concerned about anyone giving you a negative comment you would have worn all male clothing to the Dr. office.

I agree in principle, but will not push the point in a non professional environment just yet.... I still scare myself just a little...lol

I hate to agree with Marcie, but I kind of do! Because I consider under dressing pointless, FOR MYSELF! Dressing so I feel fem in my underthings, but look male, does NOTHING for me these days.
If u want to REALLY SHAKE THINGS UP, go to your appointments in a dress and heels. Then, u can BE SURE your colored nails, nylons, girdle, panties, and hairless body will raise no ones eyebrows at all!

I work in the medical field, with the public. Trust me no one really cares what you are wearing. We have more important issues to deal with. ie people dealing with life and death situations that really need emtional and physical care. What type of panties some one has one would not really be noticed, or may be perceived as being odd, what ever, next pt please...probably could just focus on the reason for the visit next time and not worry who might notice what you have on, or just dress normally for that hour or so, might be a more appropriate for the situation. Health care is serious stuff, unfortunately more serious than fun in most of cases.

Hi Emme!
These panties are the ONLY kind that I wear.
They are so comfy.:D
When I have gone for surgery, the instructions say to take all polish off.

About 3 years ago I had a cardiac catheterization done. They insert the catheter in the top of the thigh. When the nurse pulled back the gown and saw no hair her comment was...."Oh good, you're already shaved".
Oh, and when I went for the consultation before the procedure I had just painted my toes in preparation for our Christmas party. I was told to remove my shoes and socks (he had to check blood flow to the lower extremeties) and when he saw the toes I just said, "I'm a crossdresser". He looked at me and said, "that's your business" and went on with the exam.
It's no big deal...and don't forget Doctor/patient privilege.....

I was with my Dr. some time back as part of my work required physical, we were chat about stress and so on and he ask what I do to avoid it. I did not think I just say "sometimes womans clothes" he did not even look up and reply "thats very common, and a very safe way".
He finished the exam, told be I was in great shape and keep up the good work.
I am over due to go back so if the subject comes up now...

You have 70 posts. I think there are thousands of us who may get some courage from my recent post. I don't need a reason to say something. I am also a DR. Why don't you ome out of the OZONE , show your face.. we can then talk! I took offense to your reply.

Emme,
I went to my last physical shaved in the private zone. The only comment my doc made was make sure you stay nice and dry in that region. I told him the truth, which was my wife likes it for our sex life. He commented and I quote "Hell, I'd shave my head if it made sex better!" we both had a good laugh. Personally, I don't think the majority of health pro's ever comment to others about these things because they are pro's and they have probably seen it all.

If you took offense, that's your issue-not mine. My post was right on target.

The medical profession is concerned with medical issues. Clothes are not in that realm. Now if all your hair was gone from having a medical problem, they would be concerned.
I tell my doctor everything that I think may be of concern to her. This did include my TGism because it does effect certain things in my life. Things like stress and blood pressure and happiness. My doctor cares and when I go in for an exam she has even asked if I have any new pictures.
As far as what is said after I leave, I could not care less. Those people are not in my circle of friends and how they perceive people is their concern. If they need to discuss something like that hen they are the ones who need help. I know, things are said and I choose to believe that they are positive things. The next day they will be on to the handsome guy in exam 3.
