I totally just went shopping with my mom!!!

i asked her if she would get makeup for me and she was really exited that i was "including her in my little hobby." she told me today that i could ask her for help anytime and to quit being so ashamed. i took her to lunch for that one:)

That is really great for you because now you can be open with her about whatever bothers you. remember, that most of us "guys" never really discuss anything personal with Mom. So, if you think about it, we are excluding them from our growing up lives with all of our pains and issues. Girls tend to communicate better with their Mom. So, Mom could easily feel left out of an important phase of your life. What you have done, with her help, is to give her something probably very special to her, your closeness to her. That and you are to be commended.

it blows me away, how accepting she is being. even getting on my case because of my acceptance issues. she said it's not a big deal to her, she does not care. i lovethat i know i can come to her with issues or needs and be accepted.
