Hi All
This is quite a simple question. But as most of you know that I'm not smallest built girl in the world ( uk sizes ladies bust 28d, waist 26, shoes 9w-10) Now although my confidence almost out weighs my weight I still find it hard to get the outfit right to look as fem as poss without looking ridiculous. So 9 times out of 10 I go for trousers, flat shoes, and gypsy tops.
So my real question is how do the rest of you larger ladies out there dress to be fem and to fit in when out in a crowd ?

Joanna,
What is appropriate to wear really depends a lot on where you are going. I am not a small figure either - A US size 20 dress, US size 12 shoes, six feet tall in stocking feet. If I am going shopping at the mall, I usually wear a casual skirt (denim or cotton print), casual knit top, hose, and flats - or somtimes medium heels (2") or boots. If I am going out to a restaurant a bit more dressy skirt and top, or a skirtsuit, or a regular dress, hose, and 3" or higher heels. Not very many GG's will be dressed as nicely as this in the places I frequent, but the clothing I select is not at all inappropriate. A lot of other CD's I know that are even bigger than me will also go out dressed in what they feel is nice, but not neccessarily what the majority of GG's would be wearing. My advice is wear what you feel you look good in. Try watching some fashion shows, like "What Not To Wear" to get some ideas.

Pay attention to what woman your size and age are wearing and try to emulate that as best as you can. I know its hard to do because a woman can be wearing a gunny sack and still look more femenine than most of us on our best day.

As a lass with legs like an olympic speed skater...
I am a big believer in callots (wide legged pants )and jacket combo's.
They hide a multitude of sins, look modern and fun, and best of all you save a mozza on pantyhose.
Having said that I am *way* a 60-70's chick so these just happen to be perfect for the era I love.
Hope this is helpful :)
