Thanks for the response and hope you had a lovely holiday. Well the magazine is just a new mag to come up next month and we would want you to be in the first launch of the magazine. It is not a must you have experience but all we need is a good posture of you to give a better shoot.

DATE AND TIME:
This exposition is going to be held on the 13th and 14th of January 2012 in Tampa, Florida.The shoot will commence at 12:00 PM EST noon and end at 3:00 PM EST which would take you complete 3 hours.

PROJECT DETAILS:
This project is organized by the company and is basically a photo shoot to display latest fashions and designers for commercial purpose and be informed that it is an outdoor show and will be publicized.

JOB PAYMENT:
The company is going to pay you the sum of $300 as hourly shooting rate which means your shoot for the 3hours will be $900 and the payment will be paid to you immediately you are done with the shoot.

COMPENSATION FEE:
You will be given a compensation fee of $200 with your payment immediately after the shoot in case of any inconveniences.

ESCORT
As matter of choice, you can bring along any one of your choice to the shooting venue as your escort and the company will be responsible for their well being and flight ticket also.

MAKE UP ARTIST AND PHOTOGRAPHER:
The company has personal photographers and makeup artist,so we have made all necessary arrangement for your good looking on that day and also our photographers are available to give you best directive.

REQUIREMENT(S)

Kelly, it still sounds as though 3 people wrote the text . read it aloud. It does sound very odd. why shoot in Fla--the mag is in NY. It looks from their website to have been in business for a while--what do they me "new"--new issue, lastest issue.????? Call their corp office in NY. Have a look at their website. This is last minute stuff and doesn't sound like the outfit in NY. Quality mags don't do "shoots" on this kind of deadline. No formal letter? No agent request? If you dont' skip it, Take a cop with you.

If they are for real, they won't mind sending you a contract. That will tell you if they are experienced in doing this, have a lawyer on board and are legit. Otherwise, as someone pointed out, they haven't asked for SS number which is required to send you the 1099 form to report your earnings. Not asking for that, or at least, not tell you that it will be required, would raise a warning flag for me.

I predict at some point before this 'shoot', they will bring up some heretofore unmentioned 'fee' that needs to be taken care of before they can proceed. They will ask you to pay it, and of course they will promise to reimburse you in full. And then you won't hear from them again.
