View Full Version : What's Your Transgendered Related New Year's Resolution?

OK! I will go first. My 2012 Transgendered Related New Year's Resolution is to quit flaunting my feminine body especially showing off my cleavage which drives my wife crazy.
In fact, I wore a top so relieving on Tuesday to go to the mall to exchange some gifts that my wife absolutely refused to go with me unless I put on another top. Well I didn't and she didn't go. Pretty lonely day.
My wife keeps telling me that women do not go around flaunting their breasts and that I am only asking for trouble. My rebuttal is that my breasts are relatively new and at 36C I am enjoying them. Her response is that there are other ways to enjoy them and NOT let the rest of the world enjoy them as well!
So if I want peace around the house, I had better tame it down..way down.
So that's it! For 2012, I'm committing to covering up my breasts.
Now once you get up off the floor from laughing your ass off at me, what's your resolution?

I disagree with her statement from what I see in public.

Keep my crossdressing from interfering with my job or with my family life. But keep my crossdressing nevertheless. I guess i want to have my cake and eat it as well.

Having a job lined up I'm going to start seeing a therapist, start on electrolysis, and start on hormones during the next year. I'll also be finishing up at community college and preparing to go to a real university which will be my big step for the year of 2013. These aren't really planned as resolutions, but just how the timing happens. I'm also going to get under 200 pounds next year, which is related to all aspects of my life, including helping me look less masculine.

Starting HRT and electolysis. oh yeah an to stop spending money on clothes. I could be further ahead right now if I just saved my money.
Another thing I am going to do is go to the VA hospital that is near me and see what they can help me with.

One resolution is to either join a support group and meet new people or find another method of getting out and about. The main resolution is to continue on my journey to find balance and discover who I really am.
I used to consider myself very balanced (I'm a Libra)as long as I didn't include the other side of me. Well... that's not working for me so well anymore as I'm feeling a need to express myself as a whole person is getting stronger and stronger.

My New Years Resolution is to quit smoking New Years Day so my body is in the best
shape to handle Gender Reassignment Surgery. I have never been so serious about it,
and have already massively reduced my smoking habit, so this time I am 100% sure I
will be successful. :)

After transition five years ago I had many many people walk away from me when I needed them most.
My goal for 2012 is to let my guard down and allow people to get close to me again.
Being on guard has protected me since transition but it's also kept happiness from my heart and soul.
I need people close to me again so that's my goal for the forth coming year.
Julia
What a nice list of resolutions. Mine are therapy and weight loss (down 30 already).

Mine are to become more comfortable with my gender identity, lose another 10 pounds (but not more - the line between slender and skinny is a thin one [if you'll pardon the pun] ), and find a therapist to help me work out what to do now that I am aware of my trans* identity.

I need to lose 20 lbs so that my natural waist above my naval is visible again! I would like to get rid of my gut in the process. I wonder as my breasts fill out if my wife will be jealous of them.

Two big ones:
1. Find a new therapist and continue working toward resolving my problems
2. Get involved with a group of some sort (right now all I have is work, family, and a horrible commute - I need to find a social activity to connect with other people and try to find some reason to keep going forward)

My New Years resolution/s
Seek help from a therapist ( I think it is about time) somehow, somewhere and join a local group as I need support and maybe I can help too.
Lose more weight
Be more loving and kind to all and most of all develop an understanding nature so I do not feel so hurt.
Try to be more understanding to my aged Mother and Father who demand a lot more of my time in help.
Save up for transitioning.

In no particular order.
1.Get weight down to 160-175 range, currently at 210. Even at 160 My BMI would be "overweight" according to my health insurance.
2. File and complete my name change.
3. Find a new therapist and start HRT.
Let the record show 2 outta 3 wouldn't be bad.

My goals are to get my FFS done and maybe if I can afford it SRS. I would like to finish electrolysis also. I want to get my voice to sound female all the time. I also want to help other people come out and experience life like I have learn how to. I want to help people to get the courage to be themselves.
My special little goal for me may sound strange. But I have work at the same place for 25 years, it is very hard for people to call me by my now legal name of Kristy and see me as a female and they still call me by my old name of Kerry out of habit and not out of disrespect. As long as I can keep the communication open with them it don't brother me to much. My goal is to present myself in such a way that they will see and hear nothing but the female in me and they will feel bad if they don't think female and call me Kristy.
Good luck to everyone on there goals for 2012. I hope everybody reaches them plus more.
Happy New Years to all the fine people on here.

Get on HRT and go vegetarian, as I know now as of last week that some foods naturally increase testosterone levels. Also I want to quit smoking so my voice can be a little less raspy. Sometimes I feel like I sound like Louis Armstrong. It's sad and embarrassing I can do an almost perfect impression of him.

I would like to share Rachel with others and let my guard down, lose some weight, and work on more external feminine features.

There are doctors that won't even do certain surgery if you smoke here in the US because of how it slows the healing time.
Good luck Melody. I will say a pray for you. I was so very lucky and manage to quit after 45 years. My Dr. doesn't want to give HRT to people who smoke either.
Happy New to everyone also....

I hope to find a support group locally, continue working with my therapist to figure out where I fit and how I have to change my life to feel whole, build my wife and I a make-up vanity for our room, go to a MAC store and to Carla's in San Jose for make-up lessons, and go out in public dressed en-femme. I also hope to do all of this while continuing to work things out with my wife to retain some sort of balance in our marriage. Oh, and get to my weight goal (I am half-way there).

Stop dwelling on the past and be positive about future. Stop being hurt by the people who couldn't accept me and be thankful for the family & friends who are still with me. Especially my parents and older sister. I need to tell my GG friends Jenny & Julie thank you for being there since we were 19 and never pushing me Out of my comfort zone even though as they put it "we always knew you were one of us."
Last to open up my heart to my "friend" Frank. I met him 15 years ago when he was my boss and we resisted our feelings for one another because we had wives. We helped one another through our divorces this year and now I am getting to experience the kind of love I never thought was possible.

As simple as that sounds, that is actually a major accomplishment for any of us.
To continue to live even more authentically day by day. To banish the boy scripts and behaviors and replace them with more authentic more honest scripts that reveal and represent who I really am.
