I was talking with a other member fromm crossdresser.com. I was telling her about my idea/ theory that would make a crossdresser/transgender friendly community/society, free of hate crimes-ideals of the bible and any discrimination against or any respects of negativity-negitive outcome.

my idea/theory is if we lived on a land, in a society, community where no could tell by the naked eye if someone was man or woman because you would either be: biological female, transexual/*******. everyone woulb be wearing the same kind of clothes, less things to buy and maybe more reasonable prices on clothes-no more 100.00-200.00 corsets, lol

state your coments-opinion, ect

Wen... you are too funny!!!

I don't think I like the idea of a Utopian/Socialist society... of any kind.

Give me Diversity... or give me death!!! (well... maybe not death!)

No way, madame.

Oh Yeah ... The Theory ...
I think China has the jump on this concept !!!

Hey Erica,

I think I put my bubblegum down in another thread ... and ya know the way things go around here I don't expect I'll ever chew it again ...
and it's sort of hard to describe ... so there's no point in reporting it to Lost & Found ...
and even if it did get turned in ya never know who all has had it and what they've been doin' with it ...

D'ya think GGirls go through this sort of thing too ???

Bubblegum? but it's already been done you need to get the flim wild in the streets it shows how this very concept is done, And then there is H.G. wells and Jules Verne and there very ideas of a perfect society which they actual did try to set up themselves this is on the net as well look for it alright.. But anyway!?.

It would be wonderful if it could happen. But unfortunately a utopian society is totally impossible due to the fact that by it's very nature it is perfect and as everyone knows no one is perfect.
Though I am thinking that if one were to find a nice island in say the south pacific and start a colony on said island and only permit people who were as you described to join the group and live there, then it might be possible to at least come close to the dream.
The closest that an one has come to the ideal was when the hippies started comuns back in the 60's and 70's. Though I am quite sure that the euphoria was partly drug induced therefore not a true utopia.

I sympathise with Val Tan who must be feeling very left out. Bubblegum is illegal in Singapore.

Until you go there you don't realise that you can have a pedestrian precinct that is not covered with grey blobs.

What the hell was this thread about anyway................Oh yes, having fun. Please don't spoil it. Utopia always seems to be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. That would be just boring.

Aldous Huxley wrote what I consider the best 'Utopian' world novel.

It was recently remade into a cable movie.

You might have heard of it, it's called 'Brave New World'.

Another nice little tale is 'The New Utopia' by Jerome K. Jerome.

That said, if we all dressed alike, and couldn't tell the difference between sexes/genders on sight, can you imagine what 'dating' would be like? It would be rather interesting to spot someone in a bar or club and attempt to figure out if they were 'compatible' without causing offence...

A society where everybody wears the same cloths? Did this not occur in China in the 60’s and 70’s?

Marda, OK I will have to own up. I have taken your bubblegum. I needed it to put in my bra as a nipple. You wouldn’t have another piece would you? I look a little one-sided. LOL :( :(

I heard a song onthe radio earlier today (yes actually on the radio) that may fit in here. It's a song by King Missle called "detachable p*n!s"... ;)
That takes me back. What a great idea though! Then we would really have the choice to be male or female when we wanted! HA!:p

Tristen, There might be a book with this concept called "THe Sex Gates" by Darrel Bain. I think it's a sci-fi book about people being able to change their gender going through this gate. There's more to the story but you'll have to read it.

On the subject here, I would not like to see a society where everyone is the same. I like the diversity, the only thing I would like to see, is a society with less hate for each other. And less judgemental.

I think that if there were no limitations on what we could wear, and it were absolutely common-place for everyone to wear what one wanted, then it would take the thrill of crossdressing away from many, if not all, crossdressers. The idea of wearing feminine clothing is not just about putting on clothes, but it's also about becoming someone different, and in many cases diametrically opposed to who we normally are (perhaps an offshoot of cosplay)? Many CD's feel that they are more sensitive, caring, and empathic in drag, and at the same time have more difficulty with sterotypically male attributes, such as parallel parking. I think if there were no gender boundaries, we'd all just be guys in dresses (or gals in combat boots for our FtM members). The grass is always greener on the other side, and we strive toward an ideal, rather than the fact. I think this is why many women say that CD's are more feminine than they are.

If, on the other-hand, you're suggesting a totally androgynous society where everyone dressed the same, then that would be a CD nightmare, since there would be no such thing as CD's. "Hey hon, I noticed you ironed your tie and slacks today. Sexxyyy!" "Ooh, and you ironed your's too? Meet you in the unisex bathroom in five minutes". As a nod to Wen's mention, I think they also had his & hers matching striped pajamas at Auschwitz.

On the other hand, the idea of having a nearby utopia (like West Hollywood in my case) for all the people with "alternative" lifestyles is perhaps more appealing. I think part of what makes us CD's is that we're neither one thing or the other, and I suspect if I was in drag every minute of every day, it would get old FAST. My feet hurt just thinking about it. It's nice to know there's a place where you can duck into, like the proverbial gay bar or gay part of town, where you won't be judged. Ah well, I'm holding out for this Halloween when I can walk the streets at leisure (although LA streets are still no picnic at night, whether you're a drag queen or even a police officer).

Westsiiiide!!!! (j/k)

I set my bubblegum down somewhere and then I couldn't find it and everone was so helpful and we all looked around for it ... even on different Threads ... but it really seems to have disappeared ... you haven't seen it "have you" ???

(psstt ... shhhh ... hey erica ... d'ya suppose *that's* what amelie is using to keep her "wig on tight"?)

Anyway Amelie ... it's really OK now ... I have some fresh stuff to match my new Bubblegum Pink Bra & Pantie set ... (I'm getting kinda sticky just *thinking* about chewing)

Hey Crispy,

You know I'm really not sure about that Utopia place ... from what I hear there's quite a lot of trouble in Africa these days ...

Maybe we should just write a letter to the UN asking them for a list of small, CD-Friendly countries with nice malls, good Bubblegum Boutiques and clean public washrooms ?

OH OK!! I'm sorry to sound dizzy, but I thought it was some kind of CD joke, that sailed over my head. If you look in Grand Central Station in NYC, in the ladies room in the third toilet under the seat there is a bit of bubble-gum. But it's not pink it's sort of black, I didn't think it was yours, but just in case it is, you now know where to find it.

I hope this helps in finding your gum.

Once the flavor is gone and you have popped the gum until it is hard and dry. You need new gum. Like a new or different outfit.

To get everyone to agree on the exact utopia would be very difficult due to the wide veriaty of opinions.

I want Willy Wankas everlasting gobstopper!

Sounds like an episode of StarTrek. They all wear the same outfits dont they?

I'll find another society to "play." I like the pure, distinct differences between men and women. To me, the challenge is to easily shift between the two worlds.

In Utopia your gum would keep its flavour indefinitely. Is that a GOOD THING?

Not for Marda, she would be broken hearted every time she mislaid hers.

As for me I hate the stuff, makes my jaws ache. I suppose on that basis Singapore would be my Utopia. It comes pretty close anyway. You know, you never find your ass is stuck to the toilet seat in the metro stations in Orchard Road. I don't think Singapore is in Africa, but I'll check they haven't moved it. It is quite small, after all.

The $64,000 question is : Can you judge a CD by her choice of bubblegum, and more importantly can you judge a CD by where she sticks it when she's resting ?
