View Full Version : A Question only for MTF Crossdressers!! How old are you?

sissystephanie
01-04-2012, 05:56 PM
I know one is not supposed to ask lady her age, but since this thread is directed to MTF crossdressers it should be O.K. What I am interested in is how many of us CD's are in their 70's or older!

I myself am currently 79. I started crossdressing at age 6, and except for 4 years in the military and another 5 year period, have dressed ever since then. I crossdress, at least partly, almost every day. I am a widower, having lost my wife 6 years ago. My 2 children know that I crossdress and don't care, but they don't want to see me dressed! What about the rest of you "ladies" that are older?

I will only admit to being over fifty!!!

I am 65 years, but only 4 mos as an MTF crossdresser. Talk about being screwed up age-emotionally. I know I should dress age appropriate, but my young female wants the mini skirt, 44 DD, and 6 inch platforms with fishnet .JUST ONE TIME MOM, I PROMISE.. (so jealous of the years I missed, and yes Annie, I have begun thinking about DES sons, I fit all items but the finger length, but have weird toes)

Cracked the upside down 99 (66). I have been dressing since I was about 15 but only in the last 10-12 years has Nancie ventured outside the house. Have had a half dozen makeovers and loved it. Don't always feel confident going out in public but have taken many walks during the day and at night but only where it's safe. Love Vegas and plan to have a venture in March just haven't decided where to have my makeup done. Word to the young, Dress and enjoy it the days go by to fast. Like to dress like she's in her 20's or 30's. Shorter skirts and nice heels, check my pic, from Vegas last March. Have fun.

Hello sissystephanie!

Wow, I feel so little being here but at the same time reassured to have ya'll looking out for me. But what amazes me more is the fact that you could use this forum when my mom, being barely 60 refuses to send an email due to a fear of computers! I think she just found it too complicated hence a technophobe. lol.

Isn't it interesting how much younger we feel when dressed? I'm sure it's more than the makeup hiding lines. Anyway I'm 68, but when I'm dressed it's like "Hey, I'm learning all over again!" (things my mother never tought me...). Just remember the old slogan -- "When you're over the hill, you pick up speed!"

Started CD'ing when I was 5 or 6, fantasized about being a test girl (boy) dressing as a girl at a nearby all-girls catholic school when I was a teen, did plenty of closet CD'ing in college, went out no more than 3 times in my 20's, closet CD'ing at home in my 30's, discovered websites like urnotalone.com, then became highly self-loathing, I purged all my girl clothing, and went into deep denial because I wanted to advance my career, and establish a better social life, and by age 42 I realized that my urge to be the other gender never went away, no matter how hard I tried. Being in the company of other women has only made it worse, mainly because I became profoundly jealous of their ability to express themselves in the way they dress. I wanted to be exactly like them., I owned up to myself, and started going out in public in my femme self, and came out to a number of people, and, now at age 45, I'm living my dream which has now become a reality.
Well, that's my life's story.

I got curious after going through the responses and decided to crunch the numbers. The data include only definitive ages, so if you're still 39 like Jack Benny or whatever else, you're not in here. And, of course, this only counts those who responded to the thread. Pretty much looks like a mid-life preponderance.

Most Members by Decade: Fifties, 39; Sixties, 25
Most Members of One Age: 55 (7)
Youngest Member: 19
Oldest Member: 80

Here are two charts of us, one showing ages year-by-year (with last column being totals for decades) and the other a distribution by decades. I couldn't find a way to make a bell curve of it and don't want to spend the rest of the day doing so...

Hugs,
Annie

I am 61 newly retired and loving it. I have been dressing on a regular basis for about 21 years now ever since I came out to my very wonderful any loving wife. No one else knows but her and she is really an angel about it. I have been sneaking and doing it since I was about 8 or 9 yrs old. Did you ever have a feel any guilt about it. I did and it was almost unbearable until now since I told my wife. Such a weight was lifted on that day.

Borm in January of 1959, first dressed in October of 1964 (Thanks Mom, wherever you are). I've lost and found myself more often than I care to consider. So, here's a Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to me! May I never lose this girl again.

I guess I'm one of the younger ones. My 27th is coming up in a few weeks.
About the same here, still learning at 29.

Started at around 10, although I'm not entirely sure.

I'm only 53 but am often mis guessed for someone in their sixties! Yeah, that's not a mis-type. It was nice when I was 16 and getting served, but now... Oh well.

Make that a double thank you. What a pleasant surprise. So at 56 I'm still in my prime really. A bit of a Cougar really. Don't need to take up knitting just yet. Anyway when the age spots come I'll be a leopard, and they're even more dangerous.

On behalf of my cohort, thanks for the kind words! It's not unusual for CDs to look younger (sometimes quite a bit) en femme. Makeup certainly helps, as does fake hair hiding receding hairlines. Then there's lighting and a nice smile and Photoshop (oops, did I say that?).

Update on the demographics in this thread (see my message #121): pretty much the same distribution, with fifties totaling 49 members so far. Median age is 56, which is also the largest group by age. My wife looked at the charts and commented on the relatively flat line across 20s-30s-40s, then the sharp spike at 50s and strong showing at 60s. My hypothesis: Those ages correspond pretty closely to starting and raising families and building careers, then exploring neglected or repressed feelings in the empty nests typical of later mid-life. Any responses?

70 and a new member. Your theory on the age distribution is exactly parallel to my experience. Perhaps the increasing openess of our society and the presence of such forums like this one, are enabling older ladies who hid for so long, to come into the daylight.

Suite: I love the idea of a long stream of life but TV, not like a tree dropping seeds but like a fern reproducing spores without seed or flower. My
life cycle is a alternation of generations......dana
