The last time I bought shoes the clerk was a jerk. Totally rude and well... Ya...

Today I bought some new shoes at payless. The cashier was very friendly, asked if I needed anything in particular and chatted with me as I paid. Two new sets of shoes and no embarrasement! How fantastic!

Payless is awesome !! Was wandering around there recently in guy mode and spotted a pair of teriffic heels. Black, 3 inch heel, open toe and heel strap. Tried them on and they felt great so I took them to the cashier. She said, "oh, we were going to put that style on sale tomorrow, so I'll give you the sale price today". Felt good to be treated so well, plus I saved 7 bucks.

Payless is definately the place to shop. I just bought a pair of knee high boots there today also. Tried them on in the store and since it was BOGO day, I tried on a pair of womens athletic shoes as well. Bought them both, and the ladies at the register couldn't have been nicer.

I always find something at Payless, and the girls there are always friendly.

I don't know why, but I think simple tennie shoes, with long socks, and a short skirt is very comfortable.:D High heels are lethal.

Megan, If I may ask, where in Western PA were you treated badly by a jerk?

Payless is the place I get most my shoes.
I just bought two pair the day before yesterday.
A women's pair of tennis shoes made by Champion
and a pair of ankle boots, tan with side zippers!
and paid less than $35 for both, with the "buy one, get one 1/2 off!"
I may never buy a mens shoes again!

And those bring my number of women's pair of shoes to 11!

And the sale clerk, I think knows they are for me...even though she is a personal acquaitance/friend! Always has been curtious and helpful.

I found a Shoe Carnival near Williammsburg VA. Great store and definitely a better selection than Payless. Prices are equivalent too. They were having a boot sale when I was there early this year. $5.00 a pair.
