In Nordstrom today. I was dressed, as has become habit, in women's jeans. I sent two younger women into hysterics. Odd thing was that, after the briefest moment of embarrassment, I didn't care. I just stood there, waiting for my wife to come out of the restroom.

I had the most vivid dressing dream the other day. I was read in that dream and also didn't care. It felt exactly the same today. Sometimes I wonder if God gives us what we need just before we need to use it.

If the only women's clothes that you were wearing at the time were jeans, I have to wonder if you were actually "read". Perhaps on of these ladies told a joke that was completely unrelated to your jeans, and you just happened to be passing by at the time. I always wear women's jeans, have been for the past 2 to 3 years, and as far as I know, nobody's ever noticed.

I would 2nd that.. unless they have flowers down the seams or Hello Kitty on the back, my bet is no one really noticed they were women's jeans.

When you are talking about "women's jeans", are they jeans that zip at the front, but with the fly opening on the left, in the same fashion as traditional women's clothes button on the opposite side to bittons on men's clothes?

I don't ever remember seeing a pair of women's jeans with this configuration.
I wear mine every day (they are all I own these days) and no one has ever noticed. Of course there is nothing obvious, like flowered pockets, no rear pockets, rhinestones, or designs down the legs, zippers at the ankles or any of that. I can't see how they would have known they were women's...and that in itself is no reason to burst into laughter.

Cheryl, the women's jeans I'm wearing right now have that zipper design, some do, some don't.

My jeans have a slightly different cut to them than men's jeans, more fitted in the lower leg than any men's jeans I've ever worn. I think that most women, if they paid attention, would notice the cut and realize that they're women's.

I've worn them in public a few times, and have received funny looks from women on at least a couple occasions that I recall, so I'm assuming they did notice my jeans since they were the only women's outer clothing that I was wearing at the time.

I have to admit that this thread is a Crazy Ivan from the "I was Made at the Mall while wearing makeup and a dress." Are we going to have to Threads which involve Teaching you How to Pass as a Man While in Drab? LOL!

"Crazy Ivan"! I LOVE that!

No indeed, they definitely clocked me and weren't joking about something else. I walked out of the men's room, one looked at me, started laughing then got the other one going. I stood off to the side waiting for my wife. The first girl twisted around for another look, burst out again, then they took off. They looked like they were in their late teens, maybe early 20's at the most.

No sequins, no Hello Kitty (!), etc. The denim itself is a little unusual for men's jeans looks, perhaps, and there is only light topstiching on the back pockets.

Oh well!

In Hawaii I was told my skinny jeans looked real cool that was by 2 girl attendants at the Pearl Harbor memorial.
Another pair I have are skinny and have fancy hip pockets. I was wearing a thong underneath and a couple of girls said they wished they had butts like mine.
We had been conversing about clothes and styles for a while before that statement came out.
I felt just as good as if I had been maa'med. I was in drab as well.

Its entirely possible that something else set them off. But if it was your jeans, then they have a low threshold for amusement. Either way, i'm so glad you have learned not to care what you 'think' people may think.

Just a reminder that the last statistics I saw about this topic stated that 10% of women's jeans are not worn by women. There are a lot of guys out there wearing women's jeans!

It's the old story of attitude. So far I've only been told positive comments about the jeans I've worn. None of them are obviously feminine except the low-rise cut. Why not just be proud that you have the body to be able to wear them! Most people who would give negative comments get confused when those comments don't get us to back down.

Just smile. It messes their minds every time :)

Ok, so this thread got me to thinking. I bought a pair of thigh high flat boots at Payless - I'd like to wear the boots with Jeans on the inside, but my male jeans are too baggy for that. So I'd like to buy a pair of femme jeans with leggings that will be tight around my legs, and will fit inside the boots nicely, but I have no idea what size I need. I wear a w40/l30 male jean - what femme size do I need?

I have found that I like the cut of womens jeans. They fit me better. Could be just my shape but I have room where I need it and none where I don't. I have worn womens jeans to work and no one noticed. I probably wouldn't wear the really embellished rear pocket ones- although with a long enough shirt-No no would not be worth the grief.
