As I have been shopping recently one thing I have found most helpful is complimenting an SA on her look, jewelry, hair style, color of nail polish anything you can think of. Even the stingy SA's who really don't seem like they want to help you their attitude changes. I have become friends with some of the ones that I thought were being stingy, but learned that they were really just having a bad day and my compliment made them forget their problem. I have made this a rule in my shopping as it smoothes things over and makes shopping more enjoyable. I have even asked where they got their jewelry from and outfits and when I do I always get a huge smile and a positive answer. Compliments go a long way if we take the time to give them. I'm always hearing GG's compliment eachother on their outfit, choice of hair style and how pretty it looks. The other day my roommates wife complimented me on how poetry I was and boy did I appreciate that. Funny thing though, I walked in on him and he didn't recognize me because I had makeup on and a wig. He started laughing so hard because she had told him I was really pretty as a girl and he didn't believe it. He said, but damn shes right you are pretty. I blushed and thanked him. He then asked several questions one of which do you sport gay marriage. This topic is a separate topic on its own. He thought I was gay and didn't know most cdera are straight. So in short compliments ease tension and even opens up room for conversation. Get somebody talking about themselves or something they like to do and watch them light up like a christmas tree!
