Does anyone else dance when they are dressed up? Especially if you never dance any other time?

I never feel comfortable dancing unless I'm dressed, and then I just want to shake it!

I like to dance in male and female modes. I have even dressed ballroom dances with a blind male friend once. He was a good dancer and helped me through the "learning how to follow" experience. I love dancing in femme at clubs when I get the chance.

I like to dance in heels to see if I can handle it. so I am ready when I finally go out. But I have always liked to dance.

Yes I dance as a woman, was a bit differant, learnng not to lead, dance n heels and backwards when with a man. Several years I used to square dance as a woman, loved the petticoats.

Yes, I'll sometimes break out in dance when dressed. I think its because I'm happy and I feel like celebrating!

I am like MsArlene, I only have an interest in dancing when dressed enfemme and go out with a close friend of fifteen years. He is 6'6" and 260 so it works nicely. We are both straight and he is married so there was a little weirdness the first several times even though he had seen me dressed on many occasions. His wife is 4'11 and hates to slow dance with him because she complains that the top of her head smells like is arm pit deodorant by the end of the night but I think she is afraid he will step on her toes with his size fifteen shoes so when the three of us go dancing together I get all the slow dances.

Nothing beats dancing in heels and a skirt with nicely waxed and tan legs or a pair of Cervin Paris Rive Gauche Silk Stockings, IMHO

I do all the time around the house. I've never been in a situation while out somewhere to have the chance to dance.

What I wear doesn't change the fact I can't dance! Sigh...

AMEN, sister ... You go girl!!

I dance from both sides of the fence, BUT ... enjoy the whole experience way more when out dressed :daydreaming:

It has become slightly "strange" for me to dance when drab any more ... not sure what to make of that

Dancing is cathartic, sometimes almost otherworldly, but always enjoyable!

My more recent post has my philosophy about dancing within ...

I have fun dancing either way although I tend to be able to "get away" with more when I dance en femme.;):)

Check out the Capezio dance shoes at zappos.com, they have various height heels with straps. The character shoe style is good for beginning dancers, with a 1 1/2" square heel, the Alendra style is pretty with 3" heels and comes in 10.5 Wide width. Taller shoes are available, but it's hard to look graceful dancing in them. I assume you know how to adjust your size for a woman's shoe, if not, that information is here elsewhere.

I'm not really one for dancing, but one night while I was out with a friend, we met two women and one wanted to dance and pulled me onto the dance floor, and I have to say it was exciting to be dancing in heels .

Oh the things that keep getting added to the old bucket list. But, still learning how to walk, like in my signature. Not quite to the dance yet, but loving the getting there. When I do dance, the next step will be to join Karren with the flying.

I have two left feet, and no sense of rhythm when dancing - strangely, since I'm musical. I have always kept well away from the dance floor as a bloke and I doubt I'd be any different en femme. Still, you never know... I might get the chance to find out one day.

I only go out in guy mode so only dance in that situation when drunk, but when dressed up at home I'm always dancing around and love it, especially now I've nailed moving in heels. When I do finally go out en femme then first place I head to had better have a dance floor.

I have danced enfem only once. And I am pleased to announce that I am no worse at dancing in 4.5" heels than I am in men's flat shoes. Okay,,, so I am terrible at both, but it is MUCH more fun as a girl.

I used to dance as a male (hardly a man) in high school, and majored in Music/Theater, which included extensive dance courses, including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Tap.
My parents taught me to do swing dancing - which was useless in the 1960s, but when Disco hit, I knew the moves immediately.

When I finally came out as Debbie, I needed to lose about 100 lbs, so I would go out dancing every week-end. Since I was there to dance for the exercise, and I was wearing a skirt, hose, and heels, I had no trouble dancing with a group of women, and at least one or two would have fun "dirty dancing" with me - which would drive the guys crazy - and assure that they had dance partners and dates for the rest of the night. I got very good at dancing and learning many erotic girly moves.

I also learned country western dancing, including two-step - at a Lesbian bar. Because I was the one in the skirt, they led and I followed. I still don't know how to lead.

I did lose the 100 lbs, in 12 months, and continued to keep it off for almost 8 years, until I stopped dressing and tried to go back to being a guy full time. Ended up gaining back 170 lbs by 2001 - more than doubling my weight. Last year, when I wanted to lose some weight, I started dressing, dancing, and Weight Watchers - so far I've lost 80 lbs. Went from size 26 to size 16.
