I have just completed a full shave down, ahh the curse of maleness.

I thought I would do my armpits too... just getting ready to out (DRAB) and I rolled some deodarant (Sure) on and just had to peel myself off the bathroom ceiling... please tell me that this will pass as my skin adjusts to being shaved there or do I need to be using a less 'agressive' roll on?

In pain ....

I use Mitchum for women and have had no problem with the sting.

Been there.. done that.. DONT EVER DO IT AGAIN...
Try shaving your chest and under arms and then taking a bottle of the most gorgeous perfum and going neck to waist and back again.... I ran through the door without opening it trying to get to the bathroon....
thanks for the laugh...

It all works out in the end, the body adapts.

Sorry to hear about the pain, but I use Degree spray on (shower Clean scent) and I dont feel a thing when i shave. You could try using aftershave and then applying deodorant to, that may work better for you. Either way it might sting the first time after you shave no mater what!

I don't know if my body would ever adjust. I started using Tom's of Maine Natural stick deoderant. No sting at all -- and no harsh chemicals.

Yeap gotta wait a bit before putting on deoderant. I do notice with all that nasty hair gone from my pits that I really don't have a odor problem anyway.

I use a natural rock deoderant, that eliminates the smell the bacteria make. (It's not us that makes it - bacteria feeds, and excrete some smell... something like that.) Mine requires quite a bit of rubbing, so thanks for the heads up on this :)

Ouch! Sorry to hear about it. Switching deodorants will probably solve the problem. I've used a gel deodorant (Mitchum) without problems. GGs face the same issue, so you could always try one intended for GGs (and there's unscented ones if that's an issue).

Emma, wait until the next day before using deodorant after shaving!
I found that out the hard way too!

Ronna

You were right, today I sheepishly applied by roll on and it was like I still had under arm hair.

So girls listen to Ronna she was spot on!

In NO pain ....

Emma :)

Try a solid deoderant like secret.

A spray on powder (Arrid makes one) will not sting as much on freshly shaved underarms.

Emma-- I'm a Secret Platinum girl and have never, ever had a problem. Give it a week and try again. Good luck!
