Recently one member in here has been calling out one or two other members as "Fakes." And I have read comments about all the people who do not contribute buit just hide in the shadows.

So my question is this: Do we even care that some gals on here are as fake as a $3.00 bill or that unknown shadowy people are looming on here reading everything we write (I am not talking about real people with gender issues who have not yet had the courage to sign-up on here or did sign-up but never respond to a thread but just reads them for information)?

As for myself, I could care less. If someone on here is not who they say they are it seems to me they are just fooling themselves and wasting their time being on here. Maybe they have nothing better to do in life other than pretending to be someone they're not.

I wouldn't care except for the fact that they may be giving other's advice that is entirely based on lies.

Then again, very few people here really know anyone else in person... so even if someone isn't fake, they could be insane, sadistic or just plain stupid anyway... so I guess... no I don't really care if anyone here is fake :P

Hmmm, I guess I missed the action. I frequently find myself guilty of just lurking around the site, reading FAR more than I ever write. Regardless, the only thing that bothers me is trolls, just because this doesn't feel like the site for that. On sites like Failblog and CollegeHumour, trolling is encouraged, so go nuts. Here, on the other hand, I expect everyone to maintain a certain level of respect, and to at least try to stick to the point of the topic at hand, which is pretty much always the case around here anyway.

I did not include all those categories but you are right in what you wrote.

It matters to me. I find it inhibiting enough that I do not post on certain topics. I do not post pictures. I'm mindful of my wife's privacy and say little about her in any detail. I rely on consistency, emotional and other cues on trusting in this forum - and I'm careful. Anonymity helps in some ways, hurts in others. Only one person here knows who I am at this point.

The comment you refer to was in direct violation of this rule:
http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/faq.php?faq=main_rules#faq_flaming

It was deleted, and the thread was closed for all around b*tchy comments by many of the other members. I do not want to start another debate about this here.

Thread closed.
