I need a good electric shaver, so I can touch up my moustache / beard area any time. If it can be used for the legs that would be fine too, but I've never shaved my legs.
Post what you have and if it does a good close shave - beard or legs.
I was shaving myself with a razor for Halloween and then I cut myself - so how could you ever pass with shaving cuts?

Jesse,
I have owned many electric shavers but the BRAUN is by far the best of all. It will shave as close or closer than blades and is also gentle to the skin. I have one with two cutters in the head. It also has a great trimmer for side burns and should work well with moustaches too. Just check them out.

Mary Jane beat me to it... :(
Braun appliances are always among the best, if not the best, in whatever category. I don't have one because of price... Panasonics don't shave like a Braun, but they are far more cost-effective, and at least as reliable.$20 to $30 - I paid @20 at Target - gets a good razor with a wide pop-up trimmer that you can use in the shower. It's saved me $$$ on razor blades, too... :)
The next thing I'm getting is a Braun epilator.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look for the Braun shavers at Walmart tomorrow. I hope they don't cost over $125, or maybe I'll have to look for something 2nd best and cheaper. Any 2nd suggestions if the Braun is too much?

I have tried Braun ... I find they pull instead of cut if your beard is over a few days old ...Philishave triple is my preference

I find I get the best results by using two different electric razors. I first use a Remington 845 rotary triple header to shave off all the long and fine hairs, then I go over it with a Shaveman battery operated foil type razor to get it really close. The Remington I also use for my legs. It takes less than 10 minutes to shave my legs with the Remington, as long as I keep up on a daily basis (my standard routine). The extremely low cost Shaveman (around $ 6.00 at WalMart) heads will wear out in less than 8 months, but at that price it's no big deal to toss it and buy another one. It does as good a job shaving as many that cost 10 to 20 times as much.

Well, everyone is different of course, but it's been my experience that if you want to have any chance of either passing, or at least making yourself happy with your look, an electric just isn't gonna get you there. I was cursed with very pale skin and a heavy dark beard, so maybe others can get away with it.

Same for me. I no longer use an electric, but use the gillette Max 3. Using Aveeno shaving cream also helps.
