I try to slip some panties on whenever I can, like work, but being in the closet I am forced to wear my guy underwear....yukkk they feel like diapers and so un sexy. I am to the point where I think I am just going to tell my wife that I just feel more comfortable wearing womens panties and just see what happens, I would love to hear any feedback.

You're wearing the wrong guy underwear then :P

When I was a guy, I bought fancy underwear that hugged everything just right. I still find girls underwear uncomfortable... but I have to wear it... and I have to jam my junk up into my abdomen... *sigh*

But I'm offering a counter-point to the wrong kind of person though... because you like girls underwear :P

One of the reasons I underdress all of the time is that things made for women just have better and more comfortable material! I never owned a pair of male shorts that were comfortable. They all have rough thick material, uncomfortably cut leg holes, and just... well, YUCK!

On the other hand, women's panties can be soft cotton, satin, nylon, microfiber... a broad range of materials, ALL softer and more comfortable than anything available for guys.

The same actually goes for other clothes as well. I've been buying mor and more women's T-shirts. I find that the cotton they are made from is softer and they are just nicer to wear.

I threw out the last of my men's underwear over a decade ago and have never looked back.

I TOTALLY AGREE, Bree! If I wear loose ladies undies as they were intended, ( I wear them backwards!), I suffer extreme fallout! No comfort there! If I wear tite thongs, etc., that hold everything titely in, I get HEAT RASHES! No comfort there either! My tidy whities supply perfect loose support! And, the cotton BREATHES!

I know this is a crossdressing forum, but if anyone here would like guy underwear in nice, soft, comfortable fabric that fits and supports, check out the Unico brand. But of course it's still guy underwear so I'm not offering this suggestion as an alternative to crossdressing :P Oh and it looks super sexy on men, so that will please your SO :D

I wish I could still wear that stuff until I get SRS... but unfortunately it promotes the man-bulge which doesn't mesh well with chic jeans :P

Yeah... thongs suck...

I would just start wearing them, if your wife asks just say you are seeing what is more comfortable. Say you are unhappy with your guy underwear because they just dont fit right and the materials are uncomfortable. Tell her the truth, its the best way.

I only wear thongs, g-strings, or panties.:) It's all I own. I threw out all my male underwear. Plus my wife likes seeing me in thong or panties.

Yeah... as far as telling your wife, I'm a HUGE believer in the honesty thing...

Then again, my BF and I have lived most of our lives lying to everyone about who we are and we're both just friggin tired of it. We couldn't lie to each other if we tried. It hurts us just as much as it would hurt the other.

I realized one day, around 30 years of age, that the only reason I was still putting on a pair of boxers every morning, was the fact that my mom told me I should when i was three.

On that day, i abandoned boxers altogether, except for special circumstances, such as dry clean only pants. I can honestly say that I haven't shed a tear in their absence.

I originally started with just a few pairs of my wife's panties that I "borrowed." I only did it occasionally when I knew she wouldn't find out. One day my wife was cleaning her panty drawer out and getting rid of some pairs that she didn't like the way they were cut. "Jokingly" I told her that I bet I would look cute in them and put them on in front of her. She thought they were cute and told me to keep them if I wanted to.

After that I ordered a lot of my underwear from guy websites like undergear.com and bodyaware.com. I liked that they fit me better and the material they were made of but they still weren't as comfy as the panties I had. So, after being in denial for a while I finally just started ordering panties. After all, most of the sexy "guy underwear" I had were basically glorified panties anyway.

I used to only wear panties if I was going out or on special occasions. But as of the last year or so, my panty collection has grown greatly and my regular guy underwear has diminished. I was worried that my wife would notice and think it strange that I wear panties most of the time, so I sat her down and just told her. She said she didn't mind me wearing panties and that I should do what makes me happy. Now I only wear guy underwear to work because my job can be hazardous to clothing, especially pants. I wear panties all the time now. I even sleep in just my panties. I'm a lot happier now.

Good luck Dionne...

Satin and nylon panties for me. I like the lightness, the nice fit, and yes, the shiny look. String bikinis are fun to sleep in. And they are so easy to wash, wring out inside a towel and dry within an hour or so. Much faster than cotton.

My male underware is like many crossdressers, it sits in the closet and never goes out. I bought some men's briefs to wear for medical appointments. Then when I had an appointment to see my physican I couldn't find them and wore my usual panties instead.

I guess I am lucky for being smaller, I have found many styles that fit great. I keep trying mens fashion underwear but everything is low rise, heck i do not have a butt to keep them up to begin with. I do have some sears nylons that do work well and are semi sheer nylon, you might try them. http://www.sears.com/covington-nylon-briefs-4-pack/p-033A0025000P I also like hanes hi cuts for everyday wear to.

i prefer female undies. they feel better, are more comfortable, and made of much sexier materials in way more fits and styles. I have got rid of all my male underwear, save for 2 or 3 pair that fit almost like boyshorts. They are fitted well, and made of comfy cotton and only get worn if there is a chance that i'll be dropping my pants in some kind of a public setting, while in drab. however, lately, i've worn women's boxers, or hot shorts over my panties in this setting - ie changing from clothes into my snowboarding pants in the locker room or parking lot at the ski resort. My SO supports it, and since our panty size is only 2 sizes off, there are several pairs that we share - we just have one "delicates" drawer, now. lol.

If my man told me he wants to wear women's panties because men's underwear is just too uncomfortable I would call BS.

All through my 20's I wore colored bikini underwear that looked exactly like panties I guess, except they had a bit more room for my stuff. I never considered that to be cross dressing, or even thought about it. I just liked that style better. I eventually started wearing boxers because they're a lot more convenient with slacks. I've said this before and Bree said it too, there are a LOT of really cute and even feminine clothes available for men. Nobody is forcing you to wear tightie whities.

You are a grown man, buy something more to your liking and be done with it. Just be honest about it, you want to wear women's panties because they are women's panties. Comfort and color are hardly considerations.

Well I started with Walmarts Life bikini & string bikinis. then I swiched over to women's bikinis. My SO thought they strange at first but i told her they were funky new style underwear. After a while I admited to her they were women's underwear, she told me she knew all along.she told me she could tell by the gusset.

I had a few pair left over from the days when I thought I would care if my physician saw me in panties. Once I finally got over it and talked to her about it and realized that she didn't have any problem with my underdressing I held a bondfire celebration in the back yard. They were the last two pair of mens underwear I've ever or will ever own. That was over four years ago.

Ohh my, I am overwhelmed by your responses, thank you all. I currently seem to favor Hanes bikini cotton/spandex material. They feel wonderful, I really enjoy the gentle squeeze that woman's panties provide, not only is it comforting but keeps my, well you know, in place and I just feel so much sexy. ( ;

Well said Scarlet. The thought of doing something taboo adds a bit of spice, but I actually feel more natural wearing them, I guess I just don't worry so much what others think as I grow older.

Yes, there is that forbidden pleasure element for sure. I favor the Hanes cotton spandex bikinis also, and prefer them one size small. When I master the long term tuck I hope to branch out to the silk and satin, although I do have some Hanes microfiber bikini that I like also right now. Just cant get the boys comfortable when not tucked, in anything that is not really really tight.

When I must have guy underwear, I use Calvin Klein bikinis. Microfiber etc, but not the same

I'm kinda on the same page with Bree. I wear panties and tuck because it works under my clothes. I do prefer the fabrics, styles, colors, and the lighter weight, but the tuckng makes them a shade less comfortable.

I'm going to have to call BS on your BS. I wear panties due to the comfort. The materials are much softer, which is in high consideration, and the fit is better for some people. I have a larger butt, if I wear small boxers, they are too tight around my butt (not crazy, but sitting is always uncomfortable) and if I wear medium, they are way to big and even will fall down, especially when wearing jeans. Panties are designed for women, who have larger butts then men usually, so they tend to fit people like me better. Also, because the guys underwear is for guys, it is given basic cuts and stitching. People like me prefer womens because womens have better cuts and nicer seems.

So all in all, it varies case to case. I cannot stand boxers because they are uncomfortable to say the least. I like panties because they fit very good and are made of comfortable materials.

There are multi million pound businesses based on the fact that several tens of millions of men wear underwear. I doubt that in all this time and with all that money someone hasn't come up with some comfortable male underwear. If female underwear WAS more comfortable then someone would just make the very same thing in black, get David Beckham to model it and make a fortune.
What makes women's underwear so special and exciting is that it IS women's underwear. So therefore it is naughty, daring, forbidden and sexy to wear it.

Yeah, its called Calvin Klein. But it's also called I don't have $100 to go spend on underwear. I say $100 because you cannot live on 2 or 3 pairs. I have Calvin Kleins and they are lovely, but its not cheap to buy them. Womens are much cheaper for the a superior comfort.

I also don't like guy underwear although I do wear them occasionally. I wear womans panties nearly 24/7. I have several pairs of barely there panties, most in black. I dont ever try to tuck the boys and i find the streachiness of these hold everything without any binding. The microfiber fabric feels great and there is never any binding like with guys cotton briefs.

i've seen these at stores, and they come in a variety of styles and colors, too. I consider them hybrids, or unisex. and would be great for anyone who doesn't want to present as an underdresser, but loves to wear more feminine undergarments. they come have thong, string bikini, among others.

Yep exactly.

Jess Marie? Any comment? My point which you apparently missed was there are options for men that are readily available. There is a whole world of men's undies out there beyond boxers and briefs. If you prefer wearing women's panties then just say it. The comfort argument is not valid if the exact same thing is made for men. What's wrong with just admitting what you prefer?

guy underwear in nice, soft, comfortable fabric that fits and supports, check out the Unico brand.

I checked out this brand and might have to try some. Which do you prefer, the briefs or trunks?

I get depressed when it's time to go back to boy underwear. Panties feel great and make me feel good, even though they don't fit that well. When I have to adjust them, is just reminds me that I have on women's underwear.

Yes Helen I agree, we crossdressers here wear women's panties for one reason and one reason alone: they are made for women and we are crossdressers. If women wore flannel boxers and/or white cotton briefs then that is what we would wear and we'd extol the comfort and practicality of our choice. Any other explanation--fit or feel or style--is just plain disingenuous. As badtranny has explained twice in this thread, there are many many comparable men's offerings. I buy many from Prevail Sport. You want sheer, lace, microfiber, nylon? Bikini, thong, hip hugging and more? They have it, and it's designed to cover your junk. I wear Prevail offerings to make my wife happy and occasionally wear barely there and vanity fair to make me happy.

I wear male underwear all the time - it's tough and gets dirty. I don't want my beautiful panties to get dirty and get crotch stains so I only wear panties when I crossdress. I almost never wear panties under guy wear especially to work, because I could get caught. One time a hole ripped in my pants and I was wearing my white Liz Clairborne panties... my long shirt hid them. So no more panties to work.

Yes Badtranny I like to wear women's panties, VF nylon briefs in flowery styles to be specific. With the right size the fit and comfort are like nothing else. I have never found any men's underwear that was anywhere near as comfortable, and I've tried hard to find some. Maybe it's my body shape or chemistry but most are just plain uncomfortable, and that's the best I can say about most men's underwear. Some seem to be specifically designed to be portable torture devices. There are some that are better at comfort but the seams all seem to rub me in wrong places somehow. Not to mention the rash they cause me in the summer time. I've suffered from this every summer no matter what men's underwear I've tried. Since switching to VF nylon briefs excusivly this has never been a problem. The fact that I like to wear something so feminine and pretty is a great bonus.

Perhaps some guys are larger than others and are trying on bikini panties or strings and the fit is not good, but I wear a :)hi-cut and full brief "womans":) there more comfortable than any guy stuff. Once I tried a pravile Sport brief and they were not comfortable. I found the less sexy briefs are the best fitting + a VF usually does not attract any negative attention

Yeh, I wear panties, so what. Whatever you want to use as your excuse for wearing them is ok with me and just about everyone else on this message board. If there is any irony to this, it is that we all use the word panties instead of underwear, or briefs. The word panties is to me deffinately a feminine word, as opposed to a more gender neutral word, and that should say something in itself. If your panties are comfortable, then it is to your benefit, if not then try other styles, or brands until you find your comfortable choise. But in the end, do you call them underwear, or panties, and what do those words mean to you?

Ive recently been thinking about the same. I love panties of all sorts, boyshorts, bikinis, thongs, hiphuggers but recently started to buy more boyshorts and bikinis since those are the ones that actually hold me in place and more comfortable that my boxers. I have owned male underwear that are extremely comfortable but they were a couple of pairs of emporio armani boxerbriefs that were very short and looked like girl's boyshorts but they cost $30 a pair.... compared to 3 to 10 dollars per a pair of panties that are just as comfortable isnt cost efficient. I was talking to my GF about how cheap panties are if you like victorias secret (which i do) since you can get 5 pairs for 25 and she jokingly said maybe you should start wearing panties instead of underwear, which was something i only dreamed of her saying. Now im seriously considering telling her how much i love wearing panties. Good luck to you if you decided to tell your wife

Ok I admit it. I wear womens panties because they are designed for women, and I think that if I wear them then I am closer to being just like a normal woman. there I said it.
Plus I really like the pretty colors and soft fabrics. As far as them being softer, yes they are softer to the hands but once they are on they feel the same to me as mens underwear, however it has been about three years since I have worn them maybe longer except for a trip to the doctor but I decided that I will no longer do that any longer.
Now does this make me a bad person? NO it makes me a crossdresser that thinks of himself as a herself most of the time during the day. and even in my dreams.
I don't own any more male underwear because I prefer womens because they are meant for women

I wouldn't exactly call myself a threat to the Legend of John Holmes, but nonethless I have never worn a pair of women's underwear that could handle my package properly. I like to wear 2xist thongs size 28-30, which are perfectly commodious for the male anatomy, are fantabulous to look at, are made of comfortable and cool spandex and fine pima cotton, and come in black, white, and a couple of other colors. The drawback is that they cost about $15-20 a pair.
