 I went out and met with some of the gurls that meet everythursday night. Well for reasons of my own I decided to leave early about 10:30 and decided to do some grocery shopping as I had my list along. After I finished my shopping I was going to go home but decided to go to a local native american gambling casino. I was palying and wining some and losing some of course. I play the nickel machines:o so I had been there until about 1:45 when all of a sudden I hear my guy name being broadcast on the sound system. WHOA:eek: nobody knows where I am as it was a sudden decision. I checked my cell phone "no calls" I kept gambling for a little bit then decided to head home expecting my house to be in flames or something even worse. Then is occured to me nobody but nobody knew where I was and if something did happen the only thing that anybody could get ahold of me was by my cell phone. When I got home all was normal. Before I went to sleep I thought maybe an old aquaintince got a job there in securty and thought I looked familiar and wanted me to show up and see if it was really me. NAH that just didn't seem logical either as I think the casino rules would have frowned on it. I still don't know what the deal was as my name is not very common. So what do you think did somebody out me? I think it was a coincidince and somebody has the same name as me. I'm not going to worry about it anyway.:battingeyelashes: I do not look enfemme at all like my guy self. I have walked right past an old friend one time at a mall and he didn't bat an eye.

Still wonder WHY I picked my fem name, Paula?

"Attention in the casino please. DocRobertSherry, please come to the front desk!" And I think, "What? No, they can't mean ME! Must be just a coincidence!"

I guess it all depends on if you really do have a rather common guy name, or not. But like Doc, coincidence or not, if your guy name is an uncommon name, I'd boogie right on out of there, pronto... You might even think twice about going back, too?

But, then too, I don't believe in coincidences, because according to the Celestine Prophecy's first insight, there are none, you know?

I'm even "boogieing" out ouf "here"... PRONTO!

Do you play using one of their credit cards or real money? And, if you use the credit card, whose name is on it? Maybe your male name?

It's interesting that many of us have much more common names than we realize. I googled myself once to check after a colleage with a very common last name complained about showing up in several capacities. I have spent time more or less in the public eye, but it was well before the internet came to be in common use and am virtually absent from any searched web pages. I did find several hundred of people of the same name, however. Coincidence is most likely, second more likely is you got read and someone is pulling your chain. Ignoring it, of course, was the best action.

I agree with Paulaprimo if you were useing the casino comp. card in the machine that could be a possibilty?

Nope, it was for you. Someone figured you out and wanted to play a trick on you. NOT!!!!!! lol Not only will the same name be called, you will someday see people you know in far away places and swear it's the person you know, but it's not. Believe it or not, I sat ringside in Arizona at a title fight night with my neighbor's best friend (and a casual friend of mine), who died 6 months earlier. Identical looking, sounding, manerisms, etc. Now I know to expect anything as being reasonable anymore. That one still freaks me out. And I know he died as I was at his funeral. When I told the guy sitting next to me, he just smiled and never said a word. That freaked me out even more. No, I was not on drugs either. lol
So don't ever be surprised if you see yourself or someone close to you someday walking right past you staring you in the face and saying nothing.

The only other thing I can suggest is, did you check your purse, etc, to make sure you have your driver's license, credit cards and what not? You may have dropped something important with your name on it and they were paging you to return it to you. Either that or there was a problem with your car and they looked up the plate number, though I doubt that as you have driven home with no indication of it. Curiouser and curiouser................Stephanie

Does that casino require those player cards in order to play the slots and if so is yours in your male name? Maybe you won a prize in some random drawing.

:eek:I immediately checked my purse and everything was intact. And I used cash only as I am not a regular player just occasionally as it is a nice diversion once in a while. Still wonder though.

Perhaps it was your conscience? Do you still feel conflicted about your crossdressing? The usual guilt and shame? We're all your friends here. We're here to help and support you.

Well, Paula, being a girl as pretty as you are has its advantages, and someone was certainly persuing that course of events, I'd venture to say. Then again, I stand by what I wrote earlier about the Celestine Prophecy's First Insight that says, "there are no coincidences."

BTW the book, which is not a cult, religion, etc., it is strictly a very interesting novel, has achieved its notariety strictly by word of mouth (like this tome) mostly, so I've been told. FYI A quick peek at the contents of all of the Nine (9) Insights (a first find for me BTW) can be found at:

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, Warner Books, 1993, Outlined by Laura Bryannan (http://homestar.org/bryannan/celistin.html)
First insight
1) A reconsideration of the inherent mystery that surrounds our individual lives on this planet.
2) We experience mysterious coincidences which show us that there is another side of life we have yet to discover--some other process operating behind the scenes.
et al.

Enjoy!

I'd go back the same day the following week, park in the same parking spot, at the same time dressed in drab just to see if anything comes of it. Play the same machine, etc. Duplicate the entire day at the casino. I know, but who knows and if you are that concerned about it, well. I think you are just overreacting at this point. The joys of not being out to the world.
