Pantyhose with a long slip, nothing beats the feeling of that combination. I'm with you there Anne. For me the uniquely feminine garment is the long slip as designed and made in the 50's and 60's. The best were so beautifully made with lovely complex lace around the bust and at he hem. The material is deliciously soft and sensual and when you wear one beneath a dress or a long skirt, the interaction of the two feels wonderful and so elegant. Some of the manufacturers, such as Van Raalte made superbly elegant slips. You can find lovely examples of these slips on E Bay. I have a huge collection and I still fall for some of the most beautiful ones.

Nailpolish! I will not be seen without it. I love how darkly painted nails are striking and can draw attention to how you move your hands and arms. And nail polish is fun! Oh, and painting your nails is therapeutic. I put on a lecture or something in the background and take my time on a nice four coat polish. The material the speaker is presenting just soaks in and I am usually very relaxed when I am finished my top coat.
