Yep,

So, come 4am I had a nightmare that someone locked me into my hotel room, I
always make sure that the door is unlocked. Half asleep I legged it for the door
screaming in panic.

Well outside my hotel room I kinda woke up and made it back, not knowing that if
you turn the door knob just slightly the wrong way you look the door, and guess
what?

Now, I had to walk down to reception on 1st floor from 6th to ask the guy at reception to let me in, he did so but made sure to follow me back, walking behind me up all the 5 stairs. I was only wearing my two piece romantic women's underwear...

He let me in, checked my room to find it all alarmed with make-up and all that
jazz, on my bed there were two laptops and a pair of 5'' heels I bought a few hours earlier. I'm always glad I can cheer people up early in the morning.

You got any good ones, let us know!?

I would probably never dress again if that happened.

So... did he laugh? Make fun? Call you names? Throw you out? I'm guessing not.
It was a really embarrassing thing to happen, but would have been without the CD things too. If you had done the same thing, ran out in the night and gotten locked out of your room in your Haynes Boxers, had to go to the front desk to get in, had the guy follow you to your room and there were guys stuff all over the room, how would that have changed the outcome of the event?
I think we all worry way to much about what other people think about us. There was no question he knew that you liked to wear women's clothes, and maybe had a good chuckle with his friends later, but none of that effected you, he let you back in and that was that.

How about this one. On the spur of the moment I went to VS to get some new panties & I was wearing women's jeans, tucked, girly top & flats. I went to the counter to pay & when I gave the girl my credit card I realized that I had my french stick on nails. She then complimented me on my 1" gold hoops in my ears.

I've been there so feel you're embarrassment, I too was locked out of my hotel once and had to have the night clerk let me in and follow me to my room filled with my clothes, makeup , etc. In the end it really wasn't that painful, now was it? We survived, right? So it just makes you stronger!

If I walked and screamed in my sleep, I'd NEVER sleep with hotel door unlocked! Never mind how I was dressed!

I think Jess has it right. Would have been as embarrassing in guy's underwear.

I'm sure he went back and copied the video off the hotel surveillance tape and sent it in to the BBC!!! I've had run-ins with hotel security enfemme. And casino security enfemme and almost flushed my skirt down the toilet in the ladies room but never had to go down to the front desk in a bra and panties.... Yet! Lol.

Naaa - I took it well. Kinda enjoyed it. But I can imagine that quite some people would find it awkward to say the least.

No, I was not called names or anything like, I don't care what CCTV I was caught on. I'm booked in at the hotel for a month...

I usually never have nightmares, the thing with locked doors has to do with the time I worked for the Queen at the Wormwood scrubs, I can never describe what it was like that moment they shut the door behind you and you had the first night in front of you. Then I was only let out for about one hour a day - my cellmate was doing 8 years.

However, a few hours earlier I was getting my first ever 5'' heels at a store in Oxford St., London - at the cashier the man asked if "I found what I was looking for?". And, I replied, in all honesty that, yes I think so - they did hurt slightly trying them on, but then again it is hard for me to find 4-5'' women's heels in my size, but I'm quite lucky every time I'm here, thank you.

I've locked my key in the room several times, for some reason hotel keys either fail to make it from my pants pocket to my purse and I brighten up the night person's night by getting a new key in the middle of the night.

I did something similar in a hotel in Cardiff a few years back. I was wearing just a pair of lacy knickers to bed, and in a semi-alcoholic daze went to the bathroom, but chose the room door instead - which quickly shut behind me. After a couple of seconds thought, I decided to ditch the knickers (very carefully behind a fire extinguisher housing - hell, I didn't want to lose them) and go to reception in the raw. After an amusing conversation with night porter, where I wasn't surprised to find out that this is fairly common, I was let back into my room. I gave it ten minutes and then retrieved the knickers.

Since then, I always put the chain on the door, figuring that I have to 'wake-up' a bit before opening it and avoiding a similar dilemma.

That is one interesting way to expand your comfort zone Johanna. You just give them dinner conversation.

Yeah, one has to try. I'm glad to be of service. It is hardly the first time I give people something to talk about. In a sorta way I kinda like to stir things up a little even if shy at times. BTW, last nite I was attending the local drag club in private but still done up in a nice dress. You're not allowed to take photos of the performance but Johanna had a few hundred photos taken by some German magazine. Now I have to cure my hangover and shoot off to the office.
