Once upon a time, I too lived as a very part time crossdresser. I have a very conservative family and social circle, and switching to TS was next to impossible. However, I later became so depressed, and I realised I just had to do it. Coming out and changing socially was extremely hard for me, but after a few years of hell things are alright now. I don't regret any of it.
My point is that, change maybe hard, but you only live once.

Agreed, Amielts. Change is extremely hard, comfort is something we all want and even if what we have isn't enough it's still what we know, and giving it up for uncertainty is a big step. Glad to see you're doing well.

Aye, Amielts, I know all about a conservative family. I had an odd thought once: if only my family were a bit more conservative than we are, we might become radical lefties. Think about it:
Have you ever noticed how the extreme-extreme right-wingers and the extreme-extreme lefties have some things in common--e.g., a love of anarchy, guns and conspiracy theories? In a way this makes sense to me. It's a round world, so if one person goes far enough in one direction, while another goes far enough in the other direction, they'll eventually meet up on the other side.
So if only my family had been just a bit more staid and dull and strait-laced than they were, I might have grown up in ribbons and bows and frilly dresses. And I'd now be a normal and well-adjusted individual. Heaven!
Best wishes, Annabelle

When I first introduced myself, en femme, to one of my neighbors, her first comments were "I think its great. You only live once!"
