So, I was trying a few different moisturizers over the years, I finally settled on suave brands for daily use- but one of the ones i tried was Olay's quench mousse moisturizer. It leaves a little sticky feeling- but not the icky kind of stickiness- more like a good cohesion or viscosity.

Anyway, this half used can is sitting on the bathroom shelf for a year or two.

My wife usually gets up and leaves before me. One day, she happens to run out of her usual hair styling product... She's telling me this a few days later- she sees the olay 'mousse' and squirts it out- rubs it into her hair... "gosh, this stuff is kind of sticky..' she goes ahead and styles it- but her hair is still laying flat- no body. 'this stuff is shite' she says to herself. A few days later, she looks at the can again and finally sees that it is a moisturizer rather than a hair product...

i get the biggest kick out of my wonderful wife when she deigns to laugh at herself, she's usually little miss perfect- that she can laugh at herself when she is not- what a GODDESS sense of self confidence.

Holy crap did i get lucky finding her.

Now that's funny! Sharing with someone is great! But to have a wife like that to share with is totally awesome! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Now there's a statement that you wouldn't read in a beauty forum! :)

Yes, it is nice to share products. There is a type of Lancome moisturizer that I like, and Mimi noticed that a large tube of it was part of the gift-with-purchase deal. She added another item to her purchase so that the total would be enough so that i could have my luxury lotion! Aren't our wives wonderful?

Now as far as mixing up containers, never mistake ear drops for eye drops. They definitely don't interchange!

I think you owe her the cost of a trip to the salon to get that stuff washed out of her hair!

She does get good hair care- really good quality highlights- tres subtle, and an awesome cut that looks great as it grows out. She hesitates to spend the money- but i force her to; and she looks so awesome at the end of it.

We cracked up over the mousse incident for a good 1/4 hour... then we looked up the seinfeld episode with the water conserving shower heads.... topical and silly, but intimate as heck... she let down her guard. kind of like the keystone that lets loose pent up silliness. it is a rare gift to be able to allow yourself to be the butt of a joke or anecdote, but it is worth it when it works.
