Anybody ever have laser hair removal for their beardline? How long does it last? Do you get ingrown hairs when the hairs start to regrow?

I have had it done on my neck, it depends on many things: what laser is used, what color your hair is and skin tones (light skin/dark hair works best, grey/light blond/white very poorly).

There have been several threads here detailing all the ins and outs of laser treatments. I suggest doing a search to find more detailed information, some members have posted their experiences with laser in those threads.

It sure would be wonderful to only have to shave legs and under arms:D

DanaJ - I luv ya like a brother, but I've got a certain amount of money to spend and getting rid of my wicked-assed 5-o'clock shadow has been a goal since I was 19. It grew and grew and has been a problem. Please don't tell me to search the log, I've done that. I'm no newbie to my "hidden passion".

G_D I wish things were different, but I have the life I have. I so pray, every ****ing day, to be HAPPY. Truly HAPPY. Not high, not drunk, not ****ed. But HAPPY. A whole person. I just, um... nevermind.

Laser got rid of my 12 'o clock shadow, so a 5 'o clock shadow should be no problem. It did not get rid of all my hairs, but certainly removed enough that a simple shave keeps me going for at least a couple of days.

Some caveats:
1. Good candidates for laser have light skin and dark hair, no matter what advertising may suggest
2. It did not do a good job of my upper lip, and only removed a minor amount of hair from chin. I'm 25 hours in electrolysis and still have hairs there.

I have written about my experiences in the "about me" section of my homepage at http://www.mascarabrush.com

Another good site to visit is www.hairfacts.com (http://www.hairfacts.com)

And just what is wrong with searching the log??? If you had, you would have found great, informative threads such as:
