Well I think I set an all time record getting dressed last night. I started around 7PM and left the house at 1:15AM. Not bad, 6 hours and 15 minutes :eek: . I did my own acrylic nails and that took at least half that time but I have to admit I enjoyed taking my time. I tried on several outfits before I even started doing my makeup. I wanted to make sure I could find something I wanted to wear. I'm such a girl! :doll:
So I left the house and headed for Escapades. It's only about 15 minutes away. I walked in and was instantly mauled by Dawn! I mean she was on me before I realized what was happening. If she hadn't yelled "Julie!" before she leapt into my arms I wouldn't have known who she was. (Yes I would ;) )
Dawn was with her new love interest, Kathy, who seems like a real sweetheart. I then joined them at a table. Kathy was totally cool about being with a CDer. In fact she told me how happy she is we met. That's always nice to hear.
Later I moseyed on over to the bar to say hi to some other friends. One girl I've known for a while was with her husband for the first time. I was standing next to him and asked him if he'd ever been in a gay bar before. He said no. So I said, "Wow! You're really getting a baptism by fire tonight! Lesbians, gays and I've even heard you might see men in dresses if you look carefully." That got him laughing. His wife then said, "But not Julie! Right?" Naturally I turned comedian and started rambling on in my sarcastic way. I'm sure he'll have a story to tell come Monday!
I brought my camera but the pictures kept coming up black even though the flash was going off. I did get a shot of Dawn and me but vanity won't let me show it. It's pretty bad. We both look half asleep.
Dawn, Kathy and I spent a lot of time together, three lesbians just enjoying each other's company. :p Dawn and Kathy decided they are going to find me a love interest. Can't wait for the quest to begin! :D
