I would like to ask for some assistance from the ladies here that have done HRT but not SRS.

I don't know how to put this politely but I don't mean to sound crude either so please take no offence.

I really, really want breasts and would much prefer to grow my own then have implants. That being said it is much more then just about breasts. I desire to pass and live my few remaining years in the body I should have had from the start. I have come to grips with being TG. I envy the women here that get to experience life and it's feelings as a woman and feel in my heart I was born a woman but biologically that didn't work out. I do not now nor do I expect to ever have the funds for SRS.

As far as my dilemma. I know I cannot do HRT and retain the use of my male organs. That doesn't bother me but I don't hate my junk either, as some here like to say. However, if it was gone it wouldn't bother me a great deal either. I also understand that penetrative sex would be gone as well and that is not a problem either. What I would like to know is after HRT can you still experience orgasm. I don't mean the typical male orgasm of ejaculating but I am referring to the feeling of orgasm. You know that AHHHHHH feeling you get after. My nipples are very sensitive now and if I rub them long enough I feel a peace and that ahhhh feeling afterward even though I don't ejaculate. It is that feeling that I don't want to lose. To me if there is a physical side to this that is bonus. I just can't imagine going the rest of my life w/o being able to experience that ahhhhhh feeling. Are dry orgasms possible?

With respect
Rachel

Dry orgasms are absolutely possible. HRT made everything about sex better for me, but then again I am strictly dickly, so I don't know about those who still prefer ladies.

The real issue here is the breasts. You have no guarantee of growing anything significant and maybe nothing at all. Best case is MAYBE a B cup after 18 - 24 months.

Rachel,

I've been on full dosages of HRT for over eleven years and whereas I have some difficulty in that arena I do function once sufficient stimulation has been given.
So if you are able to compromise some function for the benefit of what HRT will offer you then by all means start HRT. :)

Badtranny my breast forms are a "B" cup so that would be fine with me.

Julia. Thank you so much for that information. That is exactly what I needed to know. I hope to hear more of the same.

Everyone is different. For myself, I have been on HRT 3 years and my non-male orgasms are totally different than anything I felt as a man. They are so much better and they go on and on. There is just no comparison - None, Nada!!!!!

But just because it is that way for me, do not assume you will be too.

Hi Rachel

I weighed whether or not to share this link because she has fully transitioned but decided it is better for you to decide if her words have value for you than for me to decide. She is eloquence incarnate in my opinion.

Aside from the physical and mental changes from HRT, you also have to factor in how you feel about yourself, which may change with time.

While I haven't been able to ejaculate for quite some time, I can still get erect under certain conditions. But I find that it's my feelings towards my parts that keep them from functioning or being used. So, while physically it CAN still work, my brain won't let it because of my negative feelings towards it. My boyfriend doesn't mess around down there (cuz I said so), and I rarely even have the motivation to masturbate anymore. It's not worth it for me.

There's a lot of factors at play, and a lot of things that change over time. So the only way you're going to know is to find out for yourself.

@Rachel: As far as breasts go, breast size for us is just the same as natal females; Some get feast, some get famine.
If you do get breast augmentation, be careful. Depending on who does it and how it's done, You could lose sensitivity in your areolas / nipples.

As far as orgasm goes, I've been on HRT for 3 years and I still climax. It just takes a -lot- more work to accomplish the objective. :)

In truth, you won't know until you get there.

Holy Mackerel! I too have been on HRT for 3 years but I quit getting erections and climaxes after only three or four months. I would hate it if I could still get an erection or climax. YUCK! GROSS!

After being on HRT for some time, orgasms became pretty much non existent, but the physical enjoyment turned into emotional enjoyment. Pleasing my partner pleased me just as much. I don't get the I want a penis and breasts thing, but whatever works for ya.

HRT is a crap shoot in that you may develop breasts ( or not ), you may lose the ability to have an erection ( or not ) etc etc... I was on HRT for 2.5 yrs prior to SRS. I never lost the ability to have an erection - and I could orgasm. The sensations of orgasm, and what would trigger it changed a LOT though ;)

Hi Rachel, I was on HRT about 6 months before I transition and I could also maintain an erection and orgasm during that time.

After I transitioned I lost all interest in sex.

I think it is all mental for me on the sex. As you see here everyone is different.

Rachel the truth is that you just don't know.

It's one of those things you have to "risk" to achieve some of your objectives..

If you want to max out your chances of being a sexually functioning person, then you gotta work out!! .....and what i mean by that is use it or lose it..:o:heehee:

although i'm blushing, i'm dead serious..

Also, i the sensitivity in the nipples from HRT tends to "max out" early on, and then it declines....i guess i'd phrase it that there is a period of enhanced sensitivity that tends to go away and be replaced by whatever feelings you'll have permanently..

Kelly it's not a matter of wanting breasts & a penis, it's financial. I desire the mental benefits of HRT as much as the breasts so I can live like the woman inside of me but I will NEVER have the money for SRS yet I still want to be able to experience some type of orgasm and that wonderful glow after.

Thank you all for your input into my not so delicate subject. I appreciate you sharing your personal experiences with me.

Kelly thank you for the link. Though it doesn't apply to my situation I certainly enjoyed listening to her, both times, lol. What she describes is very similar to what I call a nipple orgasm though I don't ejaculate. Just wave after wave of pleasure. Somedays the waves feel like they are 10 feet high before they crest and other days they are but mere ripples on a small lake. Either way I am exhausted after and just want to lay there, smile inside, feel content and melt into the bed.

Hugs to all
Rachel

All you can do is press the button and hope something happens.. that's the real life answer..

If orgasms are that important to you, then you need to consider whether HRT is for you...especially at older ages, it really may go away...plus if you keep your penis, it could actually be quite painful to suffer erections..and if you are ts, you may find on hrt that your erections become gross and unpleasant from a mental point of view..

@Traci: I suffer from a birth defect called buried penis syndrome. So I don't get "erect", per se. That, coupled with GID makes playing a male role in sex all but impossible for me. Not that I want to play a male role in sex, mind you. The GID precludes that. But I can (and do) play a female role in sex.

The greatest gift that HRT gave me was to remove that constant drive to couple. I couldn't do anything about it and it was very confusing and frustrating to me. But it didn't remove the ability to climax. And I have to say, the climax is wonderful. I suspect it's as close to a female climax as I'll get, given the body that I was born in.

sorry about the TMI. Hopefully, my response didn't offend anybody.

Regards,
:Miki.

I was under the understanding that orgasm was still achievable, even post surgery.

Is this not the case?

Orgasms also change after prostate surgery but still continue - if the nerves are spared. The best predictor of sexual satisfaction after prostate surgery is a motivated partner. As for erections erectile dysfunction drugs might work. There are stronger, directly injected drugs available by prescription also that supposedly could give a corpse an erection - even without the nerves.

HRT and bilateral orchie and I have had some of the most intense ground shacking orgasms in my life time. I would go sofar as to say that if every man could experience that sort of orgasm without ever once touching there penis there would be lines of men getting cut LOL

A good TLady friend of mine had a radical prostectomy with nerves being severed years ago and ever since then she has not been able to have an erection. However, she reports that everything else is still very sensitive, and that self pleasure is well......quite pleasuarable. She now only has dry (retrograde) orgasms and says they are indeed quite a pleasent experience for her. Frankly, I am a bit jelous and would love to be able to experience what I too would think woudl be as close to a real female climax as we TLadies can get. I would to to experience this just once to see for myself. So I have to believe what Ms. Cindygurl and Ms. Michaela are saying is correct.

I'm 36 and have been on hormones for 14 months, My T is really low and I have about an A cup. If I masturbate I still get erections and orgasms are almost dry. Sex is different than masturbation for me. Like Kellycan27 said, it's more emotional. I get more out of pleasing my BF than I could out of him pleaing me, Besides right now my junk is off limits. Also when we are making out I have physical sensations inside me that are intense, not really like an orgasm but very pleasing all the same. I sometimes have these same feelings just from thinking about sex. I need to be in a good place mentally to enjoy any of it, depression has done more to kill my libido than hormones ever could.
