Have you ever been cross dressing and what did you say or do? I was discovered by my teenage son. I was so embarrassed I ran out of the living room to my bedroom. Later I never explained to him what I was doing. I didn’t know what to say. I still wonder if he remembers and what he thinks about having seen me dressed up.

Today I was thinking about what to do if I got caught again-- it could be by a neighbor looking in my widow or possibly just a stranger on the street. I would tell them my wife and I have been having sexual problems and that a therapist suggested to my wife and I that I dress in women’s clothes in order to stimulate my erection. So if you see me dressing in women’s clothing, it is just part of my therapy and by the way it is very successful. To further make this story successful I was thinking of starting on line a rumor that cross dressing is a lot better method to get hard erections than Viagra. From the Viagra TV ads there are lot of desperate men who will be tempted to do almost anything for a good erection. (I myself can’t blame them for I have the same problem.) So men all over the country start cross dressing like crazy and I will be able to go out in public crossed dressed without anybody even thinking odd about it.

First what you do isn't illegal or wrong and thus getting "caught" is in your own frame of mind. If that is the case then maybe you should quit doing things that you fear will get you in some sort of trouble. Unless you do it to get a rush by getting caught.

Next when it happens the best thing is to just own it. When you take control the other person cannot spin it or make it something it isn't. Be willing to talk with (don't let them control it) them and answer any questions honestly. If you allow them to take control you won't have a chance. In the case of children who are old enough to understand, then it is a perfect time for a life lesson. Not everyone is the same. The world is made of all sorts of people. You cannot judge a person by what is on the outside, but what is in the soul and heart. It is also a perfect time to find out if they are willing to let their peers make decisions for them as to what is acceptable and what isn't. When you teach a child to think for themselves they make better decisions.

Yes it is embarrassing when you get "caught". It is the same feeling you get when you take that last piece of cake, or break the speed limit. Funny thing is that it does not make the world spin any differently. The world does not hinge on the clothes you wear. It can hinge on how you decide to handle it. Just think, you lie to your child about it or keep it hidden, what message do they get...it is OK to lie and hide.

Edit: and I have to add...making it out to be a sexual perversion or enhancement is not really helpful. You continue a stereotype.

I don't know if it qualities as getting caught but a co-worker stole my jump drive off my key chain; which had pictures of me dressed on it. He emailed the pictures to a dozen of our co-workers and also HR [Human Resources] , trying to get me fired. Of course it backfired and he got fired for stealing and causing personal injury at work. Still it was quite an ordeal to go through. After the initial embarrassment, I found out that nobody really cared, and almost all supported me during the HR investigation. That was a couple years ago and it has become old news at work. I actually made a couple new girlfriends that were curious about my feminine. We have lunch now and then.
Even thought I have been outed; I still am conservative at work. Male cloths only, sometimes clear nail polish, light makeup, and a few pieces of feminine jewelry. Nothing that would cause any undue notice.

It was only a quick glimps before she slammed the door back shut and screamed "OMG, I can't ever un see that" "sorry daddy". I told my kids when they were young, "I sleep naked, never enter without knocking or you may see things you don't want to see." LOL I guess she forgot for a second, she never forgot again though.

Interestingly enough, her mother and I divorced a few years later and she had come to stay with me for a few days when she was about 17. "mother nature" came to visit her while she was at my house and she only had g-strings packed with her. She came to me and said "I feel wierd about asking but I have a issue, you wouldn't happen to have a pair (or) two of panties I can borrow would you?" Of course I did and I gave them to her and it has never been mentioned since.

Is being "caught" the same as being "outed"? I can understand that there are those of you who feel the need to hide your crossdressing from your wife because of the implications and consequences. Everyone dresses for different reasons.

It has not happened to me yet. In your case regarding your son, I strongly recommend that you talk with your son directly and don't hide something that he obviously saw. Lying to him is wrong as said above by Lorileah. You need to maintain a very good level of honesty between you and him. As for your other fantasy story/lie, again I strongly recommend you discard that. Anyone and everyone will see directly through that and probably think less of you for your making up such fantasy that really makes no sense. I do hope it all works out for you.

Wow, I must push the envelope or am incredible sloppy. Was caught as a kid. typical mess. Have run into neighbors years ago when I was keeping it a secret. One place I lived the neighbor would sit and watch me go about in my place. I didn't realize the curtains were so thin one could see all. I was actually caught while undressing by my wife a few months back. She came home about an hour earlier than I expected, so I was just starting to undress and clean up when she came home. She started to walk into the spare bedroom where I have all my clothes (drab and femme), and I slammed the door back in her face out of panicked reflex, then once I finished stripping and throwing my stuff in the closet (yeah ironic), I let her in. My mother caught me, so to speak, when I was a senior in high school. She found some of my clothes and my step-sister's things in my closet. She brought it up when it was just the two of us in the house and was understandably curious. I was 16 when my mom came home from work early one day and caught me all dolled up from head to toe in her blond wig, full makeup, cute dress and heels.

Thanks for sharing your embarrassing getting caught moments with me. Writing this post has helped me to discover a lot about my forgotten history and put two and two together. The reason I put Brenda in the back in the closet in 2006 for the last six years was that my sons caught me cross dressing.

The first thing that I did after being found out by my son was to move Brenda’s clothes next to my wife’s section of the closet so it would look like her cloths in case my children were to go into our closet for any reason. But she is a lot shorter and smaller than me so it was risky. If my children were to look closer at the sizes and especially my daughter, they would know they were not their mom’s clothes. In a short period of time Brenda lost the desire to come out of the closet. Since Brenda wasn’t here anymore I decided to make sure to not be discovered by my kid’s again by removing all Brenda’s things from the house and putting them in a big box which I gave a fake name. There they have stayed locked away in storage for the last six years. Just this year my kids have moved out to attend school in out of state colleges. And without me knowing why Brenda came back in my life. All this time I just thought I was over Brenda. I want to say it has been a pleasant surprise.

But in 2006, my step daughter at that time, would go into my bedroom and snoop. mostly she stole $100 bills from me. But then one day she started borrowing VHS tapes. But my step daughter at that time snooped in my bedroom which was against the rules, but she did,, nonetheless, and she was now like 24 years old, and though I found the tape on my wife's chest and detroyed it, later now in 2006 my divorcing wife told me she had a dream that I liked to wear women's clothes, and that all of this information came to her only in a dream. How dumb did she think I was???
I knew then that her daughter had told her of what she saw and that tape of long ago.
It turned out that my wife of 16 years was cheating on me with a man she claimed she met at a gas pump while she was fueling her car, yeah right. Well it turned out she was screwing a guy ,but she didn't meet him at a gas pump. It was a co worker of hers.
Oh I was oh so careful over the years but because I trusted my step daughter to follow the rules of the house that I would be safe. So I admitted to my wife of only what I thought she knew. She told me that she told her daughter that it was just some bedroom games that she and I played together. But when the divorce and her adultery came into effect, that's when she began to blackmail me for $20,000. Or else she would tell my biological daughter, brothers and sister and my parents, though she was the one that had been cheating on me with 2 of her co workers. And so you see everyone, I was the bad guy in her eyes. She was cheating before her daughter told her of the tape. Now she tells me she is sorry, and wishes that she had me back, and of the terrible mistakes she made, that costed her the love of her life.

I remeber when the day I got caught by my mom. I was about 15 yrs. old. My mom was on her way to work and I said that I was sick so I could stay home. She bought it and left for work. FYI my mom always wore hose and skirts or suits to work, as her job required it. She left wearing black pantyhose black slacks high heels white blouse and black jacket. I was completly freaked out since I had no wear to go. I heard my mom go upstairs. And then come down stairs. I heard her heels on the floor comming towards the kitchen. Then there it was me dressed up in her clothes. She didn't say anything just stood there. Then she turned around and left. After I heard her leave I went up stairs and into her room and took everything off and washed my make up and stayed in my room freaked out that she caught me. Not know what she was going to do. Well when 5 o'clock came I heard my mom come in and come upstairs and into her room. Then there was a knock at the door. My mom asked if she could come in. I said yeah. Instead of trying to understand it. She also had some make up for me in a make up bag. She told me that I could keep my things in a suit case that she had on the bed. She put the clothes and make up in nice and neat. And, said that I can keep the suit case in her room so none of my friends would find it when they came over and we were in our room. As I was happy and pleased, with a big relief lifted off my shoulders. I turned around and was going to my room when my mom said son are u forgetting something and grabbed the suit case off her bed. I grabbed it and took it into my room. And that night I tried on the different outfits and hose. Going to bed wearing some drk navy pantyhose and a drk navy nigh gown to bed. The next morning my mom told me to change as we were going out of town to do some shopping and get me some more hose and some more fem things that the girls were wearing those days in school. Was a good shopping day.

Have been caught was caught when younger. Also caught by wife by not getting things put away quick enough. Hasn't stopped me though enjoy the feeling from dressing.

I got caught by my younger sister when I was wearing my mom's pantyhose, girdle and slip when I was 14 or 15.

When I was in high school I bought this inexpensive light panty girdle at Woolworths. I thought i had hidden it away well, in the back of my underwear drawer with lots of boxers and t-shirts on top of it.

I came home from school one day, and there it was on top of my bed. My mother must have found it when she was putting away laundry.

She never said a word to me about it. I always thought that she probably figured it was a trophy from some girl.

Never been found in a potentially embarrassing situation, but I'm pretty sure my 17 year old daughter has probably worked it out? My female clothes hang along side my male clothes. My wifes stuff is at the other end of the wardrobe, so I guess it wouldn't take much to work out that the women's clothes hanging on my side have NEVER been worn by her mum:)

I know she'll be cool about it, so no worries.

I've written about the first person to know about me, but recently I went out to an outing in a nice cream blouse and a pair of strawberry jeans. I didn't know four pairs of eyes were on me.
Until the next day.

The next day, a Saturday morning, I'm on my morning bike ride.

My neighbor's kid, 13-year old girl, comes up to me. She says. "Dude, you look hot when you're a girl. My mom could learn a lot from you."

"Excuse me,"

"The hot girl I see driving your car. I thought it was your girlfriend, and then I noticed. it's you. I think it's awesome and so does my mom. She's jealous of your legs."

Then there was the negative neighbor who left a note on my car saying I was an "abomination", and I was "going to hell for your behavior".

My downstairs neighbor is a cop, and he has brother, who is transitioning. We go to the same gym. His response, "Man, I was fooled. I have no problem with it." I found out later that the cop had a little chat with that particular neighbor. Seems leaving a nasty note on my car is defined as harassment under the state hate crimes law.
I don't think I'll be getting any future notes. ;)


My other downstairs neighbor is a New York City chick, and she came up to me, too "That was you wasn't it?? Girl, you look good!"

If there is one thing that surprises me is the amount of support and the number of people who just don't notice. I like that my neighbors for the most part are okay with it.

Being "caught" wasn't so bad after all.

Crap ,, It was the local news station doing an interview about some long haired fat guy in the nieghberhood suspected of wanting to be a lady ??
