You could try a dancewear shop :)

Yes, Dancewear places. They usually have various colors. Danskin and Capizio (sp?) are popubar brands. I like the microfiber ones for cooler temperature for warmth.

There's a cool sock shop in Norwich that I've never had the courage to go into... but i'm guessing somewhere like that would have them.

They used to be much more popular at one time and you could by them most places you could by hosiery (well, most department stores, anyway). *sigh* The good old days!

Jenny, several places have the colored ones in the winter months, but I will bet they are harder to find in Arizona. I would suggest the hosiery section of any department story if you were not in AZ! Don't you still have temperatures around the 80's? (25-30 Celsius) A dance shop is likely the best place in your case. Very few women wear anything but sheer hose in Arizona from my experience. The Decembers when I lived near Sierra Vista at about 4800 ft were 70+ after noon!
