A Good Support Day

Sometimes things just don't work out as you expect - in a positive way.

I woke up this morning with a sore throat, cough, mild fever, and raging headache. I'm overdue on several things at work. Feeling sad and discouraged. Therapy appointment tonight and ready to purge and walk away.

Then I started seeing all kinds of positive things here today, particularly all the new avatars and the reactions to them. It completely changed my mood.

Thanks for the support, even unintended! I still feel like crap physically, but my head is in a better place!

I come here for much the same reason, because of much the same moods...even when I don't have anything to write it's just great to see all the joy and all the compassion and sharing -- even when people are not agreeing. This is the most amazing website I have ever found, and it's hard to overstate what it does for people.

Sometimes a dose of humility and social concern is all we need to boost our spirits. It keeps us from being too self-absorbed and letting pride and shame give us a tag team beating.
