View Full Version : feeling both excited and nervous

I'll be going out tomorrow to this club my friend works at dressed up. I'm excited to have a chance to go out dressed. On the flip side my coworkers (who I've become quite aquainted with) wants to come. One of them actually crossdresses as well (go figure) though he won't be doing it then since he'll be working. Anyways to reduce any awkward feelings I told all who'd be coming that I'll be crossdressing. They said they've got no problem with it. But still I'm feeling nervous. Not only that but this lady I know is going to help me with my make up at her place plus I'll be changing there too. She lives in the "ghetto" side of brooklyn so going out en femme there is a big risk. I hope it all works out well and I'll definitely post some pics when I can. Wish me luck (v^-^)

Try to travel in a group, or at least with someone. Remember safety in numbers.

I would recommend, "have fun, but MOST of all, be careful." Toni, do have a good time, but be alert--especially while in the hood.

Take a deep breath, head up, and go enjoy yourself. Be aware of your surroundings, and stay with the group. (safety in numbers) Don't be so nervous that you don't have a good time. We all look forward to the pics.

So it actually went extremely well. I never got the make up artist to do my make up for me so I had to do it on my own. I had to wait for my grandmother to fall asleep so I could get started. I didn't do so bad. I messed up the eyeliner a bit but my hair covered it up a little. Most of my friends were there and my co-workers (now turned friends and one also crossdresses, hah! go figure) and we all had a fun time. Walking around brooklyn, union square and times square was nothing. I didn't feel nervous at all. With my music blasting I felt pretty confident walking the streets. I got hit on quite a few times but I ignored them. I haven't yet mastered my femme voice so I mostly stayed silent. I seemed to have only been "caught" when I spoke which was a bit embarassing. Anyways I took some pics and shall upload them

You look really pretty Honey. If you are down my way (East Stroudsburg, PA) around May 18th, I believe that is when Rainbow Mountain LGBT resort is having their CD/TG themed weekend. I'm going to try and get there myself.:)

Thank you! (v^_~)b *wink* I had a wonderful time and will most definitely do it again. I need to buy more outfits! Next time I'll try a longer wig. Btw I was told rice (of course in a bag) makes for good boobs too. Has anyone else tried that. It sounds odd to me
