Hi girls, Im looking for any help that can be provided. I am looking to get out for the first time dressed. It may even be just out for a drive in a different city. Here is the problem. I need to do some male mode shopping first, and I have to go to a different city for the store I want. But after Id like to possibly do some shopping for Mellissa, even if its partialy enfemme. Then later finish dressing and go for a ride. Sounds odd but I think we all have been in the position at one time.
So here is the problem, I cant leave home dressed, so I was wondering if you girls had any ideas or advice on places to get changed without getting busted.
Thanx
Missy

Library bathroom...they are usually empty. Or a gas station bathroom...or if u have the cash get a cheap hotel room for the day.

If you going to a different city, a cheap motel may be the best solution. You can do your drab shopping, change and do your fab shopping, driving and enjoy your time. But since it sounds like you need a place to change back to dab, prior to returning this room would accomplish both.
Best of luck on your physical and emotional trip, be sure to enjoy the time

Many of us have been through this.
A cheap motel is the best bet unless you can befriend another cd and have a day shopping together. Of course that might be as scary the first time as stepping out the door.

A nice drive, a walk in the mall or a day in the park would be things to do for a first outing.
Just remember to relax and enjoy it. It's scary at first, but it's not all that bad.

Hotel or motel rooms often come up as a logical solution, terrific enough but personally, I've always been too cheap to do so. Rather spend that $$$ on stuff while out shopping.

Public restrooms often come up as well. Maybe it's just me but I don't have a very strong affection for public restrooms...men's rooms in particular. More often than not, filthy, not a place where I would want to lay out my makeup. Besides, what do you do after a few minutes and the knocks on the door start up (assuming it's a private single-stall public restroom)? Or if it's a larger one, when Bubba comes in and sees you at the mirror applying your foundation. Yeah, that would go over well. Or maybe one can do so in a female restroom. Not a wise choice. It's hard enough to do so in full female presentation. Applying your makeup for a half-hour as ladies go in and out, I'd think issues would be likely.

So with necessity being the mother of invention, I use something that is just way too practical that alleviates any concerns mentioned above, my car. Tell me anywhere to be in SoCal and I can tell you a good parking lot that can be used as a launching pad. Yes, the natural lighting can suck when it comes to makeup application but when all is said and done, with a little practice, the car isn't so bad.

Downside? Well if you change your clothes, you'd better be quick about it. Wouldn't want a police officer to come by and see what you were up to, only to find you in a halfway stage of dress. In all of my years of doing this, I've never had an issue.

I've done fast gender changes in about every location that I can be alone for 20 minutes. My favorite are family or unisex restrooms.... Ohh and the handicap porta-potties are way better than the regular ones!! Trust me. Lol.

Another idea for changing is a larger mall that has a family restroom with a door lock! Go in as your guy self carrying a back pack, change & do makeup, etc, and exit as your feminine side! Do your shopping, traveling about, and go back to the same family restroom to reverse the change-over! Remember to take enough makeup remover! Also consider "underdressing" with lingerie, PH, etc, to save some changing time. Go, enjoy, & be safe!

Porta-potties? I won't even go in one in guy mode. But apparently I have issues, I totally admit it.

Again, how fair is it to others for someone to occupy a family restroom for an extended period of time. It takes more than just a few minutes to put the girl on. Certainly there has to be a better solution.

Oh, GOOD ONE, Melissa! I just LOVE these devious word problems! I'll start working on yours as soon as finish counting the fairies on this pin! Where was I? Oh yeah, 1247, 1248, 1249--------

I'm with Sara on this one. It is possible to leave the house almost completely dressed in a dress or skirt, without being noticed, by wearing a bulky pair of track pants and a jacket over our femme outfit. Keep the breast forms, wig, jewelry, purse and makeup in a gym bag along with a change of shoes and head for your favourite parking spot. It's easy to slip off the track pants and jacket, and you are fully dressed without any risk of an incident, ready to slip on the wig, insert the forms, do the makeup and change shoes. Male socks cover your hosiery if that is a concern. A little research first to find good spots is all that is necessary.

I see that you live in Wisconsin so if you are anywhere near a toll plaza, Illinois has lots of them than use the family rest room there to change. It has privacy and you can spend as much time as you want, believe me, I have used them many times. I don't particularly like the "hotel" idea, why should it cost you moneyy to change, you can use the savings on more clothes or shoes.

Good choice Melissa. Always good to have somewhere you can back up and start over. first time out, you will likely experience the start and then stop syndrome. Just keep moving forward. I got out of the car three times before finally walking into the Dept store yesterday. You will enjoy the time, so dont rush yourself.

Obviously you haven't been in some of the ladies rooms I've been in! Lol. And its a little know fact that pink fog has a sanitizing component!

Last time I went out I parked in a casino parking garage and did makeup/finished dressing. I already had skinny jeans, sweater dress and underthings on, just needed to put forms in and boots on. It does help that i have dark tinted windows.
