I thought of this when posting in the Tom Gabel thread in the media section. http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?173930-Tom-Gabel-of-Against-Me!-Comes-Out-as-Transgender
What/who inspires you to dress? What/who inspires you to want to become a woman? When you feel at your best about being fem, what is it that makes you feel this way? What/who makes you feel NOT ashamed for feeling the way you do?

I really don't get inspired by others. I do get obsessed or driven... And I have no one to blame but myself! Lol.

Mostly I look into myself and get in touch with my feelings and that makes me feel free Nicole. The CDing is a way to express that in an outward way.:)

As Karren and Kate said, the motivation/inspiration (or compulsion) really comes from within. But,then again, maybe that's only true for those of us who's names begin with K.

My name also begins with K and I too am motivated from within but the critical thing for me is there must be mirrors. My reflection, what I can visualize is what satisfies me within to know that I can look like I feel I want to look.
Countless times I have been out in public and mentioned to my wife the only problem is I can't see myself. I want to see myself as others see me. Not just close up from a few feet away in the mirror at home but from 30 or 40 feet away while walking past a store window that reflects my image.
The feeling of the clothing, the hair in my face, the smell of my makeup and perfume, the click of my heels on a hard floor are all part of it but without being able to view myself while wearing all of it is a let down.

Just to comment on what Kendra said, I have a big wrap around mirror that is magic. Well, not really but I pay it off to tell me I look good, so it better.:heehee::)

I am inspired by.....myself. I have always been sort of a fasionista even in male mode and CDing has just opened more of what I enjoy doing. My closet has many outfits all put together so for any day I just pick. I do have favorites and they get worn regularly.
And yes I did get teased in HS and Jr High for this.

I'm very much inspired by the many girls in my life. Without them even knowing it, I've learned a lot about being a girl and understanding feminine desires from them

To dress and to explore? - The idea that time is ticking away, I better be fast. When I die, the planet will keep on turning and things happening, but without me, everybody will be doing different exciting things... but I will not exist.
Also... for too long time I have been living for others, acting like others wanted me to act.. time to bite off some of my cake.

I believe that biology gave me the desire to be a woman, at least part time. :battingeyelashes: (Maybe the scientists will figure it out someday.)
What inspires me though, are the women I have met. A lot of the ladies on this forum to begin with. The River City Gems (http://www.rivercitygems.org), and the other ladies out here in California that I have had the pleasure of meeting face-to-face really have inspired me though. What interesting, nice, courageous and generous people! This includes CD, TG, TS, and all stripes in-between. I say this a lot, but if the "normal" people in this world were half as good as the trans folks I have met, it would be a better place!
Thanks ladies!

I'm inspired by pretty women. Stylish women. Sexy women. EVERYWHERE u look, there they r! And, they make me want to appear as all of them! So, it's NOT really My FAULT! I blame THEM!
Sigh! Which isn't really true! If it were, I wouldn't feel ANY GUILT! And, I DO!
