You know what the best feeling in the world is right now for me? The feeling of getting to the point where I come home from my new job, stop at a place where many people are and a big event is going on and pass hundreds of people of all ages, go into Wal Mart, order some fast food, and finally drive home, ALL without having anyone(that I saw) questioning who I am. It is a very empowering feeling to have. It actually breeds more confidence. I can't say I don't think about how I am presenting a lot, but I hope even that will fade too. I really like being the new me. The new me is a lot different than the old me. Much more confident, playful, adventurous, outgoing, and just plain smiley and happy a lot. The dream is happening right in front of me and I am living it. It's so mindblowingly surreal. Its also the best feeling in the world.

Amanda I feel as if you just described me since I transitioned. I agree it is the greatest feeling that I have ever experienced. It is nice to hear that someone else has experienced that too. It's a wonderful feeling isn't it?

Once you get to the point that you need to be, you will not worry about passing whatsoever.

The job has skyrocketed my confidence. There is really no other place I need to conquer. Work, home, shopping, beach, family...whatever I just live. Now its just continuing developing my body, growing my hair longer and eventually SRS. Sometimes I look at how much people change after 2 to 3 years on hormones and just marvel because I have only been on for 5 months. I am excited at the possibilities of getting even better.

This is what it is suppose to be, a woman just living her life and enjoying the fruits of her labor.

I remember those first knee-rattling ventures in public well, Amanda, so I appreciate your excitement. Before you know it, however, it will become a mindless routine to do and go where you want. Here's to mindless routine! :)
