As the light of a day penetrated into the room, bringing reality of life fulfilled with wonder yet again, I got up and begun the slow process of waking up. Coffee, the ritual gods once performed when creating heaven and earth, then sitting in front of computer screen, the window into the world of 21 century, of flying cars and human colonies in a distant solar systems. Oh wait, that was still a dream, reality however, not that much different, except for the flying cars and planetary travel, I was slowly getting my body to realize that the day had begun and sleep was over. Since the agenda was rather simple, breathe in then out, I took my sweet time looking over the sites and life within them.

Later as my consciousness caught up, I begun to work on a project of video edit and post production. Several hours into the day, and as I am sitting at my desk, working away on the project, a knock on the door. Hmmmm, who could it be at Sunday early afternoon in the business district? I make my way towards the door, glimpse through and see the smiling face of my wonder child, son who now is 18. I quickly open the door to find my self in front of huge bundle of white daisies, "Happy Mothers Day MOM!".............

Words can not describe love I felt at that moment, and even now, tears stream down my cheeks melting my heart and fulfilling with joy.

"OMG, OMG, thanks..........I love you soooooo much" I respond! Smile and a giggle, he does the same, hugging me and giving me a kiss on my cheek.

The day unfolded from there, I got ready rather quickly, it only took 2 hours, to which after about an hour of time he would stand next to the bathroom and talk to me while I was putting on makeup, every so often, asking, are we there yet! Lol, what a man he has grown to be, not only does he look like a GQ Marlboro man, but also, exuding manly inpatients towards womanly vanity :)

I had a most fabulous time with my son, the best friend, the best man I know, the best love I hold, and the best reward I have for my efforts of life which seemed all but lost, except for him, the gift I hold.

Inna,

WOW what a great day you must have with your son. I have often thought how will I know what kind of parent I was based upon this message I can imagine how well you raised your son. I am glad you had a wonderful Mothers Day.

l have never been a big fan of mother's day, seeing it as one of those "Hallmark card" holidays all bound up in guilt and meaningless ritual...but you and your wonderful son have given it a whole new dimension for me, Inna. Wow!

Isn't it wonderful, Inna? Children are a gift to behold (even if they do drive you nuts ;))
