Dear girls

I am brand new to this group, my name is Natasha and I live in England. Although I have been CDing for many years 'in the closet so to speak'. I am very fortunate as I have supportive wife and I have dressed when i have wanted to, but I have never set foot outside of the door, although I have been wanting and dreaming of that for many, many years.

Just recently, I realized if I do not do something soon, then perhaps I never shall, and that is not what I want. Therefore I really wanted some advice on how to take Natasha out of the closet at least once for a little while.

So, where do I start? I have amassed a reasonable collection of clothes and shoes (I am obsessed with shoes), but have never really acquired any dress sense for example how women accessorize and put themselves together, also i am not very good at make up either.

I was thinking that I should perhaps begin with a make over session with a professional for our community first of all, it would also be the first time Natasha had met anyone other than my SO. Hopefully I would see what is possible through make up, hair and perhaps obtain a 'look' for Natasha. If I am still comfortable then I would likely opt for an escorted outing in a city a long way from where I live with a professional again for our community. If that works OK, then I can perhaps see what it is like to venture out on my own or with other CDers. Does this make sense? Is there anything else I should do in between?

Is there any other advice you can give me before I first venture out? I would like to loose weight as well, is there any particular exercise that would be more beneficial over others? Should I begin to take better care of of skin and moisture - how should I do this?

I already wax my legs and most of body, however I would really love to have my ears pierced especially for my escorted outing. How can I do this and minimize how noticeable it is when i am not Natasha?

Thank you so much for your help ladies, I really appreciate any advice you can offer.

love,
Natasha xx

Welcome Natasha,

One.. Are you North or South of England? How accepting is your wife? Could she accompany you around the block early evenings?
You might like to try a jogging suit, completely androgynous and wear your bra under it with a wig to complete the look.
Do this for a little while till you get comfortable passing other people.
If you live in a small village it is a little more intimidating but if you are jogging for exercise you can turn selectively deaf and run faster away from passers by.
For makovers larger city like Birmingham or Liverpool would be a lot better, you can get lost in the crowd and remain anonymous.
Yes we all want to lose weight so someone else may advise you on that. Style of wig, clothing, shoes, etc. can come later.
Get out first and run around the block in your track suit. Maybe you have to buy one first. Not too bright, but subdued colours.. TRY BLACK.:)
You are already doing a lot of things that are not accepted by SO's here so another small step first.
When you want to go out in the bright lights of summer and cloudless days more advice will follow.
Before you go out tonight wait for at least a second opinion from someone else.
Above all stay safe and welcome to the forum.

Natasha:

You are so fortunate to have such an understanding wife who supports you and accepts your choices and life styles and preferences. I was not so fortunate and still have to keep my dressing secret. So my closet is much more restrictive than yours. Your "closet" is your entire home, whereas mine is the local TG/CD club that I join a few years ago. You should search out a similar kind of club that has full support and advice for TG TS and CD interests. They have private storage lockers and a kind of social lounge open only to members where you can interact with other with similar interests and backgrounds. There you would meet many others going thru the same problems and they can give you excellent advice on how to come out and dress in public complete with guides on makeup, dressing properly, acting properly, etc. I was very fortunate to have found such a club here. If you live near a big urban area, there should be similar clubs there too.

Hi Natasha,

I would like to loose weight as well, is there any particular exercise that would be more beneficial over others?

Weight lose really depends on where you are starting from. Age, current weight, previous fitness standard etc.
Light exercise such as a trampette is ideal. I use one for indoor jogging with the Wi Fit and cutting out crisps, cakes and biscuits during the working week, has enabled me to lose 2 stone (28 lbs USA types ) :battingeyelashes:.
However, only you can be the judge of how much is enough but minimum 40 mins x 4 days a week for me.

.......however I would really love to have my ears pierced especially for my escorted outing. How can I do this and minimize how noticeable it is when i am not Natasha?

Clip on earrings are a good start to be honest, if you don't want to explain away the holes in your lugs........wife attacked me with a needle.....very precisely?

I think at my age in drab I would look like I was trying to recapture my youth or suffering mid-life crisis, seeing as no-one has seen me with such since I was in my early 30s.

Good luck on your outbound ventures, but with wife involved, and be safe is the primary concern.

Here endeth the first lesson
