View Full Version : How annoying....Delivery man stole my ring

I knew I had a delivery coming today, a new cooker and so hid away any obvious stuff but never bothered too much as I thought they would be in and out dropping off the cooker in the kitchen.

However one asked if he could use my bathroom. I wasn't worried that there was a lot of female beauty stuff in there and make up boxes etc. What I forgot was I had left a costume ring on the bath.

Of course after the delivery men had gone, so had the ring!

Its only worth a couple of quid, so no real financial loss, but annoying all the same. I suppose I could kick up a fuss and get the bloke the sack, but not withot the risk of embarrassment.

Laura Jane, the final decision is up to you of course, but if you are positive he took it, and it is important to you, I would pursue some sort of action against this person and the company he works for. Of course, ultimately it will probably come down to your word versus his.

If the embarrassment is because of the girlie stuff in your bathroom - so what? It belongs to your girlfriend that was staying over, your sister that was visiting, etc etc.

i would call the store and tell them to send the delivery people back because something was not right ... then i would tell the delivery people the ring or the cops ....it's your house , your ring ....anything less then you let them do this again to some one else....( tell them it's on vidio).....

I'm certain he took it, he probably thought it was real!

He's in for a suprise! The police don't take minor theft seriously in this country so the only real option is to kick up a fuss with Comet.

But because its of very minor value its not worth the hassle, especially as this is a rare day off when I can dress up and I've just had my parcel of goodies from La Redoute.

I've a new suit (Trousers and Skirt),
