View Full Version : I forgot my boobs

I think I am beginning to lose it. As many know I have been full time for about a year and a half now. I have not had breast augmentation yet (no money). I am still trying to find a Dr. who will work with me on HRT (again no money). I have yet to start electrolysis (procrastination) so I am still shaving.
So I'm still wearing breast forms, although I no longer find it necessary to sleep in them. I got up this morning a little late and had to drive my SO to work as her POS 95 Windstar is in the shop yet again (see notes above re: $$$). Having only a couple of minutes to get out the door I threw on capris and top from yesterday and my wig. With no makeup or coffee we raced out the door. After I dropped her off I thought that since I already up and out I might as well stop for breakfast, and screw the makeup. I walked into a restaurant we frequently go to and took a seat. I was greeted by a waitress we know and right away notice a bit of a funny look so I said "I was a bit rushed so I skipped the makeup this morning. Is it that bad?" She leaned in and very quietly whispered "It's not the makeup. Did you forget something else?" followed by her eyes moving down to my chest (or lack of chest). I was so embarrassed. She said "don't worry about it I look the same when I go bra-less" I know she was just being nice. I got my coffee to go and came home.
Holy crap!! Most likely Alzheimer's kicking in. LOL
I think this will take the number one spot for my most embarrassing moment.
Any one else have a moment like this?

That's funny! I hope you didn't forget them on the roof or your car or in the refrigerator or something like that (that's when you really have to start being worried)!

NO! I have never had a moment like that. Did you crawl under a dime? I would have.
Thank goodness I have been on HRT for three years and have gone form a 36 ZERO to a busting 36C. But keep this in mind - many women are flat chested or close to it. And like you waitress stated, without a bra, most woman look flat chested especially as they age with or with out bearing children. So why is it that we make such a big deal out of boobs?
I did exactly the same thing. Made it 15 miles from home before I realized it! Luckily I was wearing a cowl-neck tunic so my omission was not too obvious. Mimi and I had a nice evening of shopping and dinner!

thnx for the funny story!!
In all honesty i think its a pretty cool thing!! Transition is about being yourself..I know breast forms are a part of being yourself of course, but being comfortable w/o them is a good place to be too

I was only comfortable really until I realized I didn't have them. Guess I got a ways to go.

i don't know much about "boobs side", but i have natural boobs ( plus forms some times ).
i wear a bra all the time, if yard work is the "duty" of the day i wear a "sport bra". Fits me fine !!.
this story is just funny, humor is what we need more this days !!!.

Same with me. I was actually driving along thinking about how comfortable and relaxed I felt when I realized that part of the comfort was because I wasn't wearing a bra or that which went within!
Luckily, my cowl-neck outfit and my wife's encouragement convinced me that it was OK and that I looked fine. I was just a bit sleeker than usual that evening!

I understand the embarrassment of having breasts when you do not want them (gynecomastia ) as a boy which I suspect is similar to not having them when you do want them.
Sometimes it feels like my whole world has revolved around breasts in one form or another.
You seem so comfortable being you that I would think it would be easy to forget the forms because you already are a woman so why think about anything on the outside. I usually go through my day in this exact state of mind and than wonder why people are looking at me so peculiarly.
I have a feeling people really like and respond to you so I would not worry to much about little mistakes and being human gives others who may not have the courage to make mistakes the permission to be human.
Most people are so up tight and when we act a little bit different they than feel they can afford to relax the ridiculous standards of perfection they themselves are holding onto.

Michelle that does happen, but life does not end. It is a lesson to check before going out the door, even it is in a hurry!

Look at the bright side, at least you remembered your capris. :)

We call that a senior moment; CRS is an old saying, Can't Remember Stuff. LOL
See, that is why GG's have their boobs attached, so they would not forget or lose them.

That is a cute story Michelle. I am forgetting more as I get older also. That makes me glad that mine are attach.
