At the check out isle of the grocery store today as a guy, my bra strap slipped over my shoulder again for about the third time. With out skipping a beat I reached in and pulled it up with my thumb and let it slap down on my shoulder, then reached around and adjusted the cup. I have seen women do this same move about as quickly as I did today, and I did it with out even thinking of where I was. I think I got a couple of looks but I just soldiered on. I guess Annie just took over!

See, instance reflexes can get you every time. Better to fix than have the strap show
through at a short sleeve shirt.
Good Job.

I have been thinking about this all afternoon and have come to the realization that the line between male and female has blurred for me I seem to be more Annie as time goes on. Like turning inside out and cant seem to stop it. If I get to the point where the mirror looks right who knows. I was looking around at people and my perception of women has changed. I felt a bit more like "us" not "them" the men were just the opposite. I know this is not an eloquent way of describing this feeling but it was overpowering today.

The concept of looking like a woman, that is passing, is not really as important as transforming my view of myself as a guy in a dress or as a woman in everyday life.

I am so confused...

Annie, I do not think you are confused....I think you are getting there. I would really like to be natural, and I think what happened today shows you are there, you just react and do, you are no longer having to think and emulate. Best wishes...

It is called patterned response.
1st immediate action.
Also conditioned reflex.

I wear a crop top all the time for support and chafe-resistance no matter my other clothing. One day my purse strap had pulled the neck of my t-shirt down enough to expose the strap. Horrors; my wife urgently pointed it out to me, we were in the grocery store. I calmly reached for the offending strap and relocated it, no big deal for me.

For me this was a common event, at the time, for my wife it was a 'major problem'. Now she is realizing that it was no big deal and it has entered the realm of the commonplace. Life goes on.

Lynn you are one tough lady! A razorback bra now that takes the price of looking great to a new level!! Just kidding! Good point about how different bra strap arrangements come into play. I have a few balconette bras with wide set straps and they slide offf my shoulders rather easily.

I had the same thing happen to me the other day, I was wearing a t shirt and my strap fell down over my shoulder it was hanging down and i did not know it and a lady behind me said that your strap is showing so i pulled it up. As i was leaving the store she was geting in her car next to me and she said don't you just hate it when your strap falls off, it happens to me all the time, we had along conversation about me wearing a bra. She said that more men should be more open about wear a bra and that she felt that it was ok for us to wear them.

Karren beat me to it: You need to be fitted for the proper size and style, and you won't have to play tug of war.
