Having been 'sweltering' in the recent hot spell here in the UK, I've come to appreciate female clothing in a whole new way!
Most of the time I've been in a shirt and jeans (man mode), hot, sweaty and uncomfortable.
Today I'm relaxing in a short skirt (no tights) and cotton tunic top......and I'm finally COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!
Thank heaven for women's clothes......even if I wasn't a CD'er:heehee:

Don't you just love it when a nice cool breeze wraps around your legs and up your skirt? :D

Even when it's cold outside, and your wearing a wool skirt, womens clothing is always cool!

I'm onboard with the OP. My main drive to wear a skirt is comfort.
I think a man hater designs men's underwear. No real elastic to speak of in the leg holes, there really is no need to have an opening in the front, never used it in my life, they are usually designed with fabric best left for winter, they just plain don't fit comfortably, and nothing bothers me more than my gear not staying where I want it.
I just wish the only difference with panties and briefs was the colour or design. I'd like to have nice light form fitting well made stuff that looks more or less like panties but with maybe something male slanted in pattern or colour. Then wearing panties would be almost not even worth comment. Gee bob what's with the shorts?' 'Oh they got changed by something that bled colour in the laundry'.
But anyway, I sure wish I could wear a skirt to the game on hot days and not be trapping in a lot of excess body heat. And it would be nice if I could wear underwear that was made of very heat ditching fabric if I needed something for that reason. Tired of coming home on a hot day and my underwear is soaking wet from sweat.
Hell I'm Scottish decent, why am I even having this problem damn it.

I went for a nice long walk along the water yesterday and i was very pleasently surprised (and jealous) of the many women young and old, wearing summer dresses or a skirt and tank top .I kept thinking if only :).It was the only thing keeping my thoughts clear and brighter

Very rarely in my neck of the woods does it get really hot, and, if it does, it does stay hot for long. The locals complain about 75 degrees and low humidity. I love getting to sit out in the backyard in a sun dress. For the cool morning temperatures I recently bought an ankle length sleeveless maxi dress. I've been thinking of getting a strapless or thin strap sun dress to help get rid of tan lines that mess up the winter look. I hate wearing a sleeveless dress in the winter that hints of a male tee shirt, my normal attire year around when en homme.

Regardless of my enjoyment of wearing skirts and dresses, I do find them to be much more comfortable than jeans and pants, especially when driving. I'm not heavy and I wear pants in the appropriate size, but skirts simply allow more room for male parts. It would make more sense if men wore skirts (kilts, whatever) and women wore pants. Maybe both genders could wear skirts and dresses. It worked for the Greeks and Romans and many other ancient cultures. Even thier soldiers wore tunics (like a short dress) and "skirts" into battle. They thought the Celts, whose men wore breeches, to be rather strange.

It's always cool to be a girl, no matter what the season.

I have often wondered about that, at the most basic part men and woman's body structures are the same i.e. 2 arms, 2 legs, a torso and a head, both bodies are effected by external temperatures an conditions in the air in the water. So why is it that male clothing is so hot and restrictive? a woman wears shorts that stop a few inches down yet men's go to there knees?? and they wear the same shorts in the water. I just love the freedom women's clothing provides, from short shorts to bikinis to skirts and dresses OH so much fun.......
Consider this, would we have changed sexes if men and women just wore the same style of clothes all the time? or is something deeper?

Agree 100%. When it's 80+ degrees out, it's rare that I'm not wearing a light cotton dress around the house. WAY more comfortable than boy clothes...although I will say that I do appreciate the male advantage of being able to go around without any shirt on at all.
Sally, all I can say is YES, YES, YES.... I nearly bought a long sun dress today in Asda while picking up some food and stuff on the way home from work... The other day I bought a new mini (or is it micro?)... it is so cool (as in temperature)! Spent the 90 mins driving home today in my fave A line skirt instead... bliss - ripped the suit off as fast as I could...!
BTW... if you wear silicone forms... when it gets warm, before they get slippery, they do feel like part of you! xx

Men who foolishly do not crossdress never discover the comfort of a skirt on a hot day.
When you consider typical male anatomy wearing pants cannot be healthy, especially on a hot day.
Maybe pants were invented by the Illuminati as a form of socially imposed male birth control. With almost seven billion people on the planet the idea did not work and pants should be dispensed with at least on hot days.
The more I think about it the more I'm sure pants are a conspiracy to neuter males.

I am from the south east too Sally and yes, it’s been hot.
I have just gone round the house in a bra and panties.
But we both know the good weather will not last long in good old Britain.

Yesterday I came in from doing yard work in 90-degree heat and high humidity and was really tired. After a shower I changed into a denim skirt and a tank top to fix dinner. MUCH more comfortable.
So, yes it is cool being a "girl".

before the kiddies got out of school for the summer, I was doing yard work in a light weght cotton skirt and microfiber panties. so cool. While they are home though I wear 4" inseam Patagonia shorts around. so much cooler than the new mens "shorts" that so many look like capri's or pants they are so long, heavy and hot

I mentioned in a previous thread about the fact that when wearing women's fashions that there definitely is a need for a light sweater or wrap as the fabric is thinner and the area covered is smaller. Think about how much more of your shoulders are exposed when wearing a halter top or tank top with you shorts. I am forever grabbing a light sweater or shrug to throw over my shoulders while out. The secondary effect is that by having the sweater you are adding one more degree of passing.
