Just wanted to share a simple pleasure...

I woke up this morning with a nice list of errrands to run, mostly getting stuff for my new appartment. Had to go to the mall, the grocery store, the music store, the post office and a few other places as well as my saturday evening dart tournament - first one out again :(
So I took my shower and before I got dressed; guy clothes with panties, I painted my toenails a nice soft shade of pink. Painting toenails is new for me. This would be my second time and definately qualifies as a simple pleasure.

I then decided to wear what we call here 'flip-flops' all day. Big step for me. I could look down and see the soft pink shine on my nails and smile to myself. Not one strange look or comment from anyone else all day. I guess people just aren't interested in my feet. :)

Not really a major event I just wanted to share something nice with the board.

My toes are usually some shade of bright red. And I wear open toe sandals most of the time when the weather is warm. Nobody ever seems to look at my toes either! BTW, my finger nails always have soft pink polish also!

Even my big old clunky feet look femine with a nice coat of nail polish. Now you've got all summer to enjoy them!

My wife painted my nails the other night and I have not removed the nail polish yet. I went to see my therapist in sandals and then grocery shopping right afterwards. My therapist noticed but I think he's paid to notice those things especially since he specializes in the transgendered, but other than that no one cared or noticed. I love looking at them when I take off my socks or closed toe shoes. It was a pleasant surprise for a few days as I was not used to having them painted.

I keep trying to think back a few years ago and i think i would not look at shoes, feet or toes either. I might notice a nice pedicure on a woman but now i seem to look at the shoes first and if they are opened toe of course I would check out the color. I even look at mens feet as well now to see if they have some polish on as well. I don't have a foot fetish but the toes that are painted are so much more interesting. It is a great way to find ideas and colors to try. All I can say is enjoy your toes painted and be thankfull your wife did them for you and doesn't mind. My wife has let me have mine painted almost everyday since the beginning of January. We used to have maybe 4 colors to choose from that have been around over 5 years. Now i have tin full of 25 different types. I have compulsion to buy nail polish all the time. I luv color and purple is my first choice followed by red and the blues are nice and pinks and I sort of did a green with diagonal of a blue stripes. Next i'm trying the pink and red stripes. I really want to do more complicated nail art next.
