Ok, so yesterday afternoon I was pulling the wheels and hubs off my boat trailer and inspecting the bearings, cleaning them up and then repacking with grease and putting everything back on the trailer, It was a job that needed to get done as boating season is pretty much here. An hour or two later I'm cleaned up myself dressed in one of my favourate outfits, makeup applied and doing my nails. :)

I know the feeling Hon. One day a couple of years back I was totally filthy from head to toe from pulling and replacing my well pump. Needless to say, later I got cleaned up, gussied up and went on over to the club to socialize and dance en femme.:battingeyelashes::)

Which is not to say that any GG wouldn't find herself in the same situation.

I helped one of my girlfriends repair her car, her hair got dirty grease through it and we both looked quite bedragled as we pressure cleaned the car underneath after.
We both had a shower after and I adopted the conservation bit, "Save water shower with a friend."
She needed help washing her hair, and I needed help with my nails after. We both came up smelling like roses.:)

Which is not to say that any GG wouldn't find herself in the same situation. The girl I am chasing at the moment is like that, she is very happy when she has got grease all over her hands, happier than me actually. I don't mind when I am doing the same tasks, but very glad to go off shift and get the gunk off. She will be puttering around with mucky hands until chased off to lunch. Then, when she is doing office work, she turns up in a skirt. Have I mentioned I love this girl?

Wheel bearing grease can be used as a substitute for eye shadow.

I sure can relate, except i have seldom had a girlfriend, in my 58 years. I have always had older used cars, and have spent much of my adult life, a grease monkey. I also worked in a dirty chemical coatings factory, for almost three years, and it took six months for all the paint and varnish chemicals to finally disappear from my hands and arms. I wasn't dressing then, though.

They invented bearing buddies years ago for gender enhanced people so you could wear your makeup and painted nails and squeeze the grease gun all at the same time silly. Go buy some bearing buddies.

That was a productive Sunday afternoon. Good for you! We basically just vegged out by the pool.

Bearing buddies are good, but they give you a false sense of security and if you don't check them out you are asking for trouble! Always better to be safe then sorry. I would have loved to be by the pool for the afternoon but it was cold and rainy here the last couple of days.

I think it's good that you were out of the grease before you brought out the makeup! 'Cause getting the two mixed up is no fun! Hugs!

I know how you feel
Sunday I was picking up crashed motorbikes at a race meeting all day. It was cold, wet and the grass at the edge of the race track was a sea of mud. I was cold, wet and muddy. And I had 150 miles to drive home.
Three hours after leaving the race circuit I was showered, epilated, moisturized, scented, dressed in my favourite silk nightgown and sipping a vodka and orange.
I know I keep saying it but………….life is good!
