I have been kind of tickled at some of the topics brought up in this section of the fourm lately (all ligitmate questions by the way). Things like Legal Genders and Marriage Laws, Sexual preferences as a TS, I'm confused by trans people that are too normal, What do you feel is lost?

I realize that many of you are just starting out and naturally have questions. It is just that I have transitioned and have had SRS done longer than some of our members have been alive. Actually, that is scary to know it has been that long. Many of your questions are things I delt with long ago and have actually forgot about. They also had different solutions for time. Add on top of that that we are living in a very different world than when I went through it all. There was a period of about 15 years that I was not involved at all with the trans community. I was just trying to live my life.

So keep asking questions. You make me think and I learn a few new things every time I am here.

Why do ya think a CHICKEN like me waited so long ,,Its way better now than back in the day ! Atleast you dont have to worry about fighting or being assaulted as much nowadays . With the internet there is way more education out there than before an maybe even a little more protection for someone in public . After all we all are still relearning our way of thinking ,,An with the help of this site we can just finaly just live our lives an be accepted for who we are not what we are dressed as or look like .Just becuz we dont fit the normal role of what they think you should be . An yes I also learn alot everytime Im on . If you dress an act like a lady most of the time yull be treated as such ,,Cuz people treat you by the way you present your self ,, An if its respectable they will usaualy treat you that way ,,Im not saying all the time but for the most part yull be fine just pick your spots carefully and beware at all times . Cuz there are all kinds in the world ,,Not just against us but for all people that are different .

Enlightenment is not about the destination, but the journey to find truth. Learning is a never ending experience and these boards and people offer an amazing and diverse breadth of insight, knowledge and wisdom.

As Stacy said, people are far more accepting now days than before. I can't speak from experience of actually being easier because I am so young, but I can attest to the general acceptance of our day. For instance, I went to the store today in baby blue flip flops, shorts, nails painted and in a female T-shirt from Fckh8.com that said "Some dudes marry dudes. Get over it" in pink letters. One of the store clerks and I talked for about 15 minutes of homosexuals are people like everyone else and not even worth the time to get upset over. No one said a word about the rest of my clothes or anything about the nail polish and necklace I was buying.

I wish the internet was about 10 years older. Could have learned a lot more at 15 instead of 25. Like how to find other like me. Or how to find a therapist.
