Things get kinda heavy around here sometimes, so I thought I'd lighten it up a bit. And hey, this thread may go nowhere, but let's see anyway. I love movies, but I'm guessing if you are like me, I often notice what the ladies are wearing about as much as I notice the ladies themselves. What can I say? I'm a sucker for pretty clothes, I guess. In any case, are there any outfits or dresses that you saw in a movie that really stand out for you? I'll give some examples, but unfortuantely, I could find no stills or photo shots, although I tried:

Just about everything that Marisa Tomei wore in "My Cousin Vinnie".

In "The Blues Brothers", in the scene at the Chez Paul, a man loudly complains about them to the maitre 'd. His wife (Gwen Banta) is a knockout, her nails are ravishing, and her dress is lovely.

In "9 to5" (old one, I know...), Dolly Parton has a beautiful knit peach colored dress that I'd love to try on.

At the end of "Pet Semitary", a really bad movie, the kid's mom is wearing a lovely white lace dress. Very nice.

You know...stuff like that. Sorry I couldn't find any stills. Anybody got some?

I love movies. Almost as much as books, which is almost as much as sohe shopping!

Here are some lovely leading ladies:

Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Carribean and Helen Hunt from What Women Want.

I love a lot of the ladies costume in the historical movies. And Helen is always very sexy and classy

Sanda Bullock in Speed the short skirt and top very kicky and fun but still very sexy. Diane Keaton in almost any movie but especially the First Wifes Club the white dress she wears in the finale again understated but very sexy.

Unfortunately, the last picture I attached of Marisa Tomei must be corrupt. Went back and searched the archives to try to find the "Vinnie" photos of Marisa, with still no luck. But here is one of her in a very adorable outfit.

Natalie Portman in the Star Wars series is a cutie with some nice, over-the-top clothes.

I liked this one: http://i-j-t.com/charactersSW/Padme/naboo_padme.jpg

Star Wars Ep. II... Natalie Portman. Corset dress...

How the hell ANYONE fits into it is amazing... it just made my eyes pop out on stalks. But then again, I do have a soft spot for Natalie Portman!

All very nice!

For reasons I cannot explain I'm drawn to the clothes sense of Elaine from "Seinfeld"

Jo Ann....YOU ROCK! That's exactly the one I was talking about. I don't own The Blues Brothers anymore, as I gave it to a friend as a Christmas present last year. Pretty lady, huh? Love the dress and nails! There's a website dedicated to movie pictures, but when I clicked on Marisa Tomei, My Cousin Vinnie was not included. What a shame. Thanks for the efforts!

I always liked the two piece Jane Fonda wore in On Golden Pond. Or was it what Jane looked like in the two piece? Or was it just Jane? Ah, Jane Fonda, ala 1970s, 80s. What a dish.
