My breasts have started to hurt. I do know this because they are developing. They feel sore. They hurt whenever I do stuff(like working, showering, getting stuff, falling asleep) because I brush the wrong way.

I know this is the way it works but how long before they don't hurt anymore?

It comes and goes... usually a couple days at a time. The first year is the worst I think...

This is as best as I can remember... I never really paid attention to it.

Mine hurt like hell for almost the entire first year and I mean really hurt. After the 1st year they hurt maybe a couple days a month but nothing like the 1st year. At times I would not wear a top in the house as even just that killed me.Thank goodness those days are gone.

BUT ASKING US IS IN NO WAY AN INDICATION OF WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE.

Only a few months for me, and they never hurt much for me either. The worst for me was just that when I was lying face-down for my massages, and hadn't gotten exactly the right angle, the pressure could hurt.

Mine stopped hurting at all before they assumed their more rounded shape (before they were pretty conical.)

For the year-ish after they stopped hurting, Nothing Happened with mine. Within the last couple of days, though, they have become sensitive again. I hope they grow more (I didn't get to even an A cup.)

it's different from person to person. Mine hurt for about 5 months.

And I still have very minor discomfort from time to time (probably tracking my horomonal Menstrual cycle)

Talk to any GGirl about it, and they'll say the same thing.

"Welcome to the world of womanhood" :)

Hi,

This will depend on the person & each one is different , The same applys for young women no different,

On average about two years , & more for many women, some more some less , this will depend on meds type dose rate & how your body reacts to the meds, for some it becomes very tender around the nipples & not all the time ,

there is a time growth spurt & then ajustment time & nothing then back to growth, & so on , for my self about 18 months, though like most women it did get sore,& even now after many years i still have to be carefull like any woman. though my body ajusted very well & because my body is a little different i ajusted quite well over all.

In stead of bras wear sports bras as that can help padded is better , just not to tight thats all,

If in dought have a word with your endo or G P ,

You said started too hurt, meaning youv not long been on meds, as i understand,

Hope that helps,

...noeleena...

let's hope they hurt for a very long time.
That means your development would be impressive.
I had intensely sore breasts for about a year then the pain lessened but did not go away entirely until a couple of years later.
I now have C sized breasts.

Your not complaining are you? That was one of the most welcome hurts in the world to me. I wish they still hurt, maybe they would still be growing - but that pretty much stopped.

let's hope they hurt for a very long time.

As Traci said the pain is really an indication of growth of the structures inside your breasts that ultimately make them a female breast. The remainder of the roundness etc is from the change in your body habitus, that is a change in the places where fat is deposited as to before hormones. Just be careful not to bump them. I found keeping your arms close, that is, not taking up as much space as I was used to really made a difference and it also makes you look much more female. Your arms become the bump barrier:D

Mine hurt a little at the beginning, then stopped hurting, then went away when I got ready for SRS. I recently started Androcur again and there are coming back somewhat. I wish they hurt. Loosing them was really traumatic. No two experiences are alike, so our answers are purely anecdotal.

Mine hurt a little at the beginning, then stopped hurting, then went away when I got ready for SRS. [...] Loosing them was really traumatic.

In the spring 2 years ago just before I turned 49, I had spontaneous development over a few months, out to nearly a B cup. And then over a period of about 3 weeks they (mostly) went away again, a retrogression that I confirmed on my 49th birthday itself. The satisfaction of the gain and the emotional hurt of the sudden loss afterwards are what tipped the balance for me to decide to seriously investigate HRT. Trauma was an appropriate term for what I felt.

I kind of expected that I might end up "playing" with my breasts when they came in, or that I'd at least spend notable time admiring them. It didn't happen that way for me. Instead, when I happen to look down or happen to see myself in a mirror, the bulge and the folds in the cloth from the breasts being there mostly generates a feeling of rightness. "I have actual breasts, and that's the way it should be."

Yup lol... The only time I think about my boobs is making sure they fill out my shirts when I put them on.

I leave the playing with boobs to my boyfriend. He's better at it than I am :P

Mmm... dang... where is he now...

My breasts were sore for about a couple of months, then ocasionally preceding a growth spurt, and slight soreness to correspond with what you be my period.

Kinda like Kathryn was saying, I think the achiest part of development is what would be associated with Tanner 4, where you've got more of the puffy-areola thing going on because the glands are really developing but the fat hasn't caught up. So it's definitely a good thing that you should be happy about, and it'll get worse, but it's not like your boobs will just throb through their whole development.

I have some pretty happy memories of complaining about my boobs hurting and my ex (who was a nurse) pointing out how strong my pulse was in my mammary veins and kinda describing how things were developing.

The pain comes and goes and its normal sometimes lasts for weeks or months.

For the next few months don't let anyone elbow you in the nipple, or poke you, and be real careful clutching anything to your chest or leaning against anything hard like a chair back - - - the involuntary yelp of pain - - - if I could only hit those girlish registers in everyday speech!!

hugs,
'lissa

I am 22 months on HRT and still get growing pains.

Even after almost 3 years, I still get the occasional soreness. During the first year I quickly found that wearing a bra alleviate some of the issues like adding protection against the accidental bumping and soreness. By the way, mine aren't that big either but so are many GG's.

LOL! I know it was too much too fast. But I'm not complaining. I just feel very fortunate. It's one less thing I have to worry about....well unless you include the yearly mammograms. Speaking of which, I have my annual one TOMORROW! Lucky me! Yea yea! Yea my ass.

Oh look at me! I'm better than you because I have to get mammograms because I have a better chance at getting boob cancer! Wooo-eeee!

I can vouch the breast pain comes and goes. This afternoon my breasts are really sore! I have been on HRT for 9 months.

I have been on hormones for 9 months ab=nd my breasts have been sore for about the last 6 months but the pain is bearable. I have just about reached an A cup and my areolas are getting quite big now. :)

After months and months of Nothing More Happening, mine were sensitive for about 3 days earlier this week, and starting to firm up around the nipple again. And then that went away

The good news along these lines is that a few nights ago, I failed The Pencil Test, with only a little bit of cheating :o (But it was a mechanical pencil, smaller and smoother than a real pencil, so that cancels out my leaning forward a bit, right? :) ) I did measure last night and it appears that I have filled in over the last while: it appears that I might now measure an A cup for real (42 inch at fullest minus 38 inch underbust = 4" difference, which is a "A" cup.)

Oh yes, I also saw last night that some of my development is to the side, that the outside edges of my breasts are now anchored to my sides rather than just my front.

But my breasts still point outwards at about a 45 degree angle, tips 10 1/2 inches apart! No cleavage here, sigh.

Over the last few days, every other time I turn around, my boobs have gotten in the way! My arms brush against them when I move my arms forward; they both push against the bed when I lay down on my front; my blouse is catching on them. And they are measuring bigger even just in the last few days.

How do I fix this problem? Why is it only every second time? :heehee:

And how do you tip the Breast Fairy to keep coming back? :)
