Susan, you are definitely getting there. It's a little hard to tell in this photo, but the look seems to be improving.
By the way, there is a painless solution to your eyebrows. If you purchase a handy little device known as "The Finishing Touch" hair remover (it also goes by other names). It is a battery operated hair trimmer that comes with an eyebrow comb attachment to trim your brows to a short height. Without the comb, you can trim areas down to the skin that you want to be hair free. That kind of trimming doesn't last as long as waxing or tweezing, but it is quick and painless. I have used one for several years with good results. I do recommend using it with a magnifying mirror to avoid accidentally trimming off too much. In the USA these are available from a lot of different places and usually cost less than $ 10.00 US. I'd be willing to bet you could find one somewhere in Switzerland. Here's what it looks like:

WHY slowly? Go somewhere and get those brows trimmed up, shaped up, whatever....if you can't do it yourself...even if you don't want to get them done extremely femme. Uni-brows are scary...just say "NO" to bushy brows! ;)

KathrynW, I can do it my self Its just that I hope by doing it gradually no one will notice. I am getting there, at least it dosen't meet in the middle anymore.

Slow and steady if you want to go stealth but if you don't care who notices, do it all at once!:D

I am trying to make sure no one really notices.
But what I was really looking for was comments on the make up hair and over all look.

I had mine waxed and shaped all at once and nobody noticed except my wife and that was a week after it was done.

Just fine,
Keep at the brows..... just do it all or at least half. No one will notice. Honest.
Eyebrow trimmers are fine for the women to buy and yourself too, but they also perform under the name of Nose Hair Trimmers, and they do the oft forgotten Ear Hairs too.
Go get one and do not forget to get the batteries.
PS Me personally, would say that the watch needs changing for when you go out

You're looking great, Susan, but I already thought you looked very nice.:)
The brows are coming along well, you just need to define them a bit more. Just do what you're comfortable with though.
I think you will find that just removing the stray hairs will help you achieve a good look, one that you will be happy with. There's no need to create a pencil thin arch, as there are actually many real women who have full, but shaped, brows.
I've been trimming my brows for ages and no one has ever mentioned a thing about them, excepting those who know about me. But even I trim more than what's necessary.

the other day I was in the barber shop getting my own hair cut, and as he was finishing the guy, who had bever done my hair before asked me if I wanted him to do my brows, I guess I was just so shocked I said no. oops.

Hey, Suze,
Next time tell him "Yes!" Lots of guys just hate the ol' uni-brow thing. And it's considered more professional, for one thing, to keep it manicured. You probably should be careful not to make your brows look TOO feminine all at once, because it would definitely get notice on you, but there should be no problems for you at all if you trimmed it, shaved the middle, and made it look better. You can pluck it to shape a little at a time.
As for the rest, you have heavy features, so I'd suggest softer makeup. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, and you photo is a bit on the dark side. But you can do a lot with softer colors. The red in your lipstick should not be RED!!!, nor does it need to be particularly dark. Try a soft maroon or fuscia. Or really get your gut in a knot and ask one of the ladies at the makeup counter. You have strong cheekbones, which when used correctly can be really pretty. You have a strong jaw, unfortunately (like a lot of us) which is a plus for guys, but not necessarily for girls. I'm not quite sure how it's done, but there are makeup techiques that can soften that jaw as well.
I don't know if any of that helps, but I mean well by all of it. Keep it up, sis! We're all riding on the same cruise ship here, hoping the icebergs keep their distance.
Hugs!

Thanks Marla.
As for the make up, I think its time to stop trying to do a half assed job myself and grow a pair, and ask for some help from one of the makeup counters. Come to think of it I have nothing to do this weekend :)
Thanks again Marla, as always great info

True...But, somehow that just doesn't sound right...

Hi Swiss Susan,
Yesterday, I just put on my macho clothes (jeans and an anorak) and marched into my local beauty salon in Malaga, and demanded that they wax my eyebeards (I am very hairy in the brow region). I said to them "make it almost as fine as a womans". They said fine and rippped away.
Maybe you want to try just bluffing your way through it. I find that works well, including when buying girlie clothes ;)

Thanks Kimberly

Take heart, eyebrow trimming at the hairdresser is not new, at least in Scotland's cities.
Mine have been done for donkey's yonks, usually at the suggestion of the barber.
Anyway they have more confidence in the art of trimming and shaping than I have.
Your hair length I like.
Do not worry about the watch, lots of real young ladies go for the big chunky masculine ones. It is something to remember against when you are buying other ornaments, like earings or beads.
Go happy hunting

Getting your brows done is no big deal. I get mine done whenever I get a hair cut. I did get them done once without the hair cut and no one seemed to notice. Though now some of the girls at work will mention when they get a little bushy. Nothing bad they just mention it like friends, I do the same to them.
