Where to go in Charlotte, NC?

Can any one recommend friendly night spots, and places to shop and visit in the Charlotte, NC area?

To answer my own question, my afternoon and evening were spent out and about in Charlotte.

Chico's Outlet and any of the Dressbarns were very friendly while I was at their stores.

A small bar on Central called Central Station was very hospitable.
