im disapointed i cut my hair but im ok i guess

Gurls,

please let me vent... I have been growing my hair for three years.. and conditioning dying it.. cutting it.. all that work.. and i was finally getting it under control and beginning to look good.. i wanted to see what i would look like with bangs so i bought one of those clip on bang things.. i was playing with it last nite and the hairpiece needed a trim so i took some scissors.. unfortunatly I CUT MY OWN BANGS!!!.. oh my god!! all the sudden i went from being a normal guy with long hair. to a guy with a patch of bangs!! today i had a big family reunion. so i had no choice but cut all my hair off!! i couldnt wear a hat or something because i have small cousins who would immediatly rip it off.. i had to be totally unreadable as im in closet or its a secret whatever.. oh geez!!! i managed to take some pics with my bangs which i like,, im just so sad i couldnt enjoy the bangs for a few days and make some pics.. now i have to wait another year or two have long hair again.. .. i hate wearing wigs!!! they itch and its just not the same.... ill post some pics in the pic section when i edit them.. oh geez..

That's a shame! I no how you feel! Last year I had mine cut to raise money for a needy family! It's taken a long time to grow it back! Hugs!

On the upside. I just ordered 7 different wigs. Maybe ill be ok. I can explore different looks wothout all the extra time and maitenence. But ill grow it out again anyway

A couple years ago, I had to cut my hair for a job. Then got laid off after a few months. I am starting to grow it out again, so I understand.

I am bald now so I don't have the opportunity to grow my hair but when I was young I used to love having long hair. It sure pissed off my family members when I was turning 20. I hated the normal male haircuts I used to have to get as a kid. Its too bad you couldn't have just cut off 2-3" and shaped it all with your hacked up bangs. You can always pick a short fem style while waiting for it to grow out.

Sorry to hear this Bridgetta.
I love bangs, but I'm 18 months of growth from nearly nothing. I've had to get flyways trimmed , and the back lopped off to get closer in length to the front so it doesn't look like I have a mullet. I'm going to do highlights in the fall, since I am a natural brunette. These days, I'm doing a folded ponytail, and the longer it continues to grow, the neater and cleaner it looks....so I have to grow my hair longer.....get it?
I would love to do bangs, but it would look too femme, and would cause problems if I did. I still have to be careful of my professional situation but I'm so fortunate and totally psyched as to how far I have come.
